FARMINGTON — Carter Burcham threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Greenbrier to a 41-14 victory over Farmington in 5A-West Conference football action Friday night at Allen Holland Field.

Burcham, a senior quarterback, had an 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, then caused the sportsmanship rule to go into play with his 7-yard touchdown and two-point conversion pass to Alex Massey with 1 minute, 50 seconds left in the third quarter. Pea Ridge kept its unbeaten season intact, turning three Gravette turnovers into touchdowns in a 4A-1 Conference win.

Pea Ridge (6-0, 3-0 4A-1) trailed 10-0 in the first quarter, but seized control of the game by scoring three straight touchdowns to take a 21-10 lead.

The Lions (3-3, 1-2) dominated the opening minutes, limiting Pea Ridge to just 8 offensive plays and 1 first down in the opening quarter.

The win sets up a huge conference game next week as Pea Ridge travels to unbeaten Prairie Grove.
