Springdale High's Marquesha Davis is among several standout underclassmen in Northwest Arkansas and she put on a huge performance in a 63-39 victory over Rogers Heritage on Jan. 6. Davis, a 6-foot sophomore forward, has been named the Athlete of the Week after exploding for 25 points and 18 rebounds — including 12 offensive boards — to go along with four steals in the win that improved the Lady Bulldogs to 7-7 overall. Fayetteville This Week

The Purple'Dogs and Lady Purple'Dogs had their 7A-West Conference openers postponed when a cancelled day of classes in Fayetteville last Friday forced the scheduled games with Bentonville High to be pushed back on the calender. Now, the two teams face a tough three-week schedule to open conference play this week.
