Springdale offensive lineman Steffan Bonilla signed with Hendrix on Wednesday afternoon during a ceremony in Bulldog Gym.
The 6-foot-2, 265-pound left tackle took several visits to other schools before verbally committing to Hendrix and coach Buck Buchanan on Jan. 26 after visiting the program in Conway for two days the previous weekend.

Bentonville's basketball teams will likely be making their final trip to Fort Smith Southside as a conference opponent when the two teams begin the second half of 7A-West play Friday night.
Unless the two schools meet again in the Class 7A state tournament, it will also mark the final time the Tigers and Lady Tigers take on the Rebels and the Lady Rebels. That's because Southside's teams will be under their new mascot — the Mavericks and Lady Mavericks — next basketball season.

The War Eagles are hoping to start the second half of 7A-West Conference play the way the ended the first, with a victory.
Heritage (10-10, 2-5 7A-West) trailed only briefly in notching a 57-51 win over Springdale Har-Ber on Friday. Seth Stanley, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, led Heritage with 18 points, while Lexus Hobbs added 15 and Marcus Breedlove chipped in 10.
Heritage travels to Springdale High, which defeated Heritage 55-48 in round one, on Friday. The War Eagles led after three quarters, but couldn't hold on.

Like the rest of the 7A-West, the Mounties and Lady Mounties are off Tuesday before they start the second half of the league season when Springdale Har-Ber visits Friday.
The Lady Mounties (9-11, 2-5) lost at Har-Ber in overtime to start West play. Rogers lost several close games in the first half and Lady Mounties coach Preston Early is optimistic entering the final seven games.
