The Lady Tigers played most of the first half of the season with two starters on the bench. But with the new year came good news that both Parker Lopez and Maddie Hartin are back on the court.
Lopez missed the most time with a shoulder injury, and is slowly getting herself back into playing shape, coach Kevin Froud said. As far Hartin, a concussion shelved her for several games, but she’s also back.

Rogers High will enter conference play after winning two games at the Siloam Springs Invitational last week and balanced scoring has been key for the Mounties (6-7). Rogers opens 7A-West Conference play at Springdale Har-Ber Friday night.
Milacio Freeland leads four Mounties in double figures with 14 points a game and the senior has recovered from a shoulder injury suffered during football. Jake Benninghoff is adding 12 points a game while Will Allen and Harrison Heffley are averaging 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Fayetteville completed a pair of rugged nonconference basketball schedules on both the boys and girls' side over the Christmas break, with both teams wrapping up pre-conference play in Texas holiday tournaments.
The Bulldogs went 2-1 at the Dallas Coca-Cola Tournament, winning a pair of games against Wilmer-Hutchins, Texas and Dallas Spruce before dropping their final game against Lancaster, Texas. Fayetteville finished the nonconference 11-2, winning tournaments at Van Buren at at its own Bulldog Classic.
