The senior outside hitter ranks third on the team with 132 kills and also has 190 digs. She was named a co-captain shortly after joining the team.

Check out a feature on Maddox in Thursday’s Northwest Arkansas Newspapers.

Week 7 Springdale Football Notes

Springdale coach Shane Patrick.
Some pre-Bentonville game notes.

  • It doesn’t get any easier for Springdale this week. Bentonville is the middle game in a brutal three-game stretch against the 7A-West’s best teams, sandwiched between Fayetteville and Fort Smith Northside.

  • It especially doesn’t get any easier for the defense. Junior starting defensive end Logan Brown is moving to Florida and has turned in his gear. He finished with 11 tackles, including three solo and one tackle-for-loss, in six games. He’s the fourth defensive starter to leave the team since the … Continue Reading ››

Jimmy Carter (Springdale beat writer) True. The Tiger offense has been much more efficient in recent weeks, a trend that should only continue as they roll through the easy portion of their schedule. The Fayetteville game looms large.

Paul Nielsen (Rogers beat writer)No question, yes. After … Continue Reading ››

FAYETTEVILLE — Two plays into the 115th Battle of the Bulldogs, Fayetteville made things look easy against rival Springdale.

The rest of the night wasn’t quite so comfortable for the Purple’Dogs, but Fayetteville never really left anything in doubt in a 49-21 win against Springdale on Friday at Harmon Stadium.

Sophomore quarterback Taylor Powell hit running back Luke Rapert on a quick out route for 13 yards on the first play of the game.
