State Basketball Report – Jan. 8

We’re a little over a week into 2016, which means conference play is getting underway across the state.

Here are a few storylines to keep an eye on during tonight’s games, as well as the rest of the season.

SEC Signees

Five SEC signees are in their final seasons of high school basketball in Arkansas.

The headliner of the group is Bentonville’s Malik Monk, a consensus five-star recruit. He signed with Kentucky during the early signing period, choosing the Wildcats over Arkansas in a much-publicized recruiting battle.
