Rogers Heritage basketball this week

The War Eagles (8-6, 0-1 7A-West) will look to bounce back from Friday's loss to Springdale High on Tuesday, but they will travel across town to face rival Rogers High. <br><br> Heritage knocked off the Mounties 54-37 to take third in the Arvest Hoopfest earlier this season. Rogers High: The Week Ahead

Although the Rogers High Mounties and Lady Mounties have played just one 7A-West Conference game, both teams face a critical week if the season is going to extend to the post season.

Rogers hosts crosstown rival Rogers Heritage Tuesday before they travel to Fort Smith Southside Friday.

Bidders for state, regional tournaments announced

Here are the schools who have made bids to the Arkansas Activities Association to host state or regional tournaments for the spring and fall 2016 sports seasons. Springdale Har-Ber sophomore Julianne Dillon set a meet record and became the current national leader in the girls 600-meter run with her performance Saturday at the Prentice Gudgen High School Invitational at Pittsburg State.
