North Little Rock RB Altee Tenpenny, who recently committed to Alabama, said he will visit Arkansas on Feb. 11. TE Hunter Henry of Pulaski Academy said he's pretty sure he'll visit Arkansas in March.

Im glad to see Tenpenny/Henry visiting their HOME state HOGS! What I'd like to know from them is what the hell is going in @ LR HS"s? Why are these recruits looking out of state (Dyer, Frazier, Bodentstein, Harvill, Brooks,).. Is it something that has been said or done by UA? Is it something that hasnt been done? Is it an ARk HS coach's issue with UA coaching staff? We need to build bridges, not walls. I think where there's smoke there's fire. Our program is #5 with a bullet, yet these kids are talking, tweeting, and committing elsewhere. Like w/DGB recently committing to MiZZou, ,where's any sense of loyalty by our kids? Ok, Im done with my rant…thank you all for indulging me…

Hogblog: harvill, bordstein weren't offered scholarships. What has Brooks done? Frazier didn't fit our offense. Dyer and tenpenny, no idea.

Screw em!!! They should have already commited!! I say pull the offers if we've given them and tell them don't bother visiting cause we wouldn't even buy and egg for ya for breakfast.
I say no offers. If the instate kids want to be a Hog let it be known they need to contact Petrino and tell him that they're on their way up to the Hill to sign…and this better be before freakin' Christmas or NO DEAL!!
God I've become an old Curmudgeon tonight :)
Losing to LSfreakin'U does this to me!

I know how you feel Hogen. Hard to understand how you can grow up in Ark and not want to be a Hog. However, you do want the kids that WANT to be Razorbacks. Those in state guys are usually leaders before and after they hit campus. The Jeremy's are going to be great for the program.

Maybe these kids remember how HDN was treated by this state. Maybe their coaches remember how HDN was treated. HDN was little rock born and raised and people still bash him. Question might not be what's wrong with the UofA what's wrong with the fans. We mat need to look in a mirror to see why the kids are leaving . Why stay home if your state is going to treat you that way ? Just food fir thought. No I'm not a nutt lover , I'm glad we changed . The man didn't deserve the treatment he got from the fans either

Hogen-dazs,
Screw em, they should have already committed? You realize these kids are still juniors in high school right?

It is important to note that many kids that go out of state or to other in-state schools were not offered scholarships by the U or may have ties to another state as Brooks did only moving to Arkansas later in life. Arkansas recruited Brooks and wanted him to come. You can't make a player come and who would want a player to come to your school if they really wants to be someplace else. Frazier saw Mallet and Wilson as obstacles. He was right. At best, he would have been second string at Arkansas. Mitchell is a better QB than Frazier mainly because Arkansas knows how to develop players. As for HDN, Arkansas loved him. He made his own problems and still got a boat load of money when he left and then went to our arch rivals. He showed a lot of class and loyality there. Great to hear Tenpenny and Henry are coming soon for a visit. Arkansas will present its opportunity and if they say no, then Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Hey, Hey Good-bye.

Forgot!
Richard, What is the definite word on Cobb? Is he going to JC or PG or is there still a chance that he could make his grades and/or test score? Also, where do we stand with Neal and is it the 10th he announces? And if not Neal, any perspective on what we will do?
Thanks in advance.

Ah so it was HDN behind those airplane banners at the ball games! Now it all makes sense.

@hogblog
Of all the players you named, Dyer is the only one that came from Little Rock. Tenpenny is from NLR, but the rest were not even in Central Arkansas; much less LR.
I mention this because I keep hearing people make this mistake, for reasons unknown to me, but, ironically, more players from NWA have snubbed the HOGS then players from anywhere else in the state. It may just be that NWA is producing more players that have that opportunity, though.

Hope Tenpenny flips and Henry commits to us.
Also, Davonte Neal needs to read this about Joe Adams:

Yeah…Im from Ark, but don't live there any longer, and it just seems that I keep hearing about Pulaski Academy and players that go elsewhere. I do realize that Brandon Allen, Demetrious Dean and others are from NWA. I know that Brooks was from my home town in Jonesboro. Thanks for keeping it real, however I will continue to believe that somehow many local HS coaches are not onboard the CBP express, but have in state love for Malzahn. Keep an eye on ASU the next 2-3 years and let's see what happens to the rate of signees going to NEA to play football, instead of NWA…

boulderhog that is a great video you attached, BUT whoever made it should have their butt kicked! The "music" dubbed to the video was absolutely vulgar. The video shows Joe's greatness, but it also represents Arkansas. The "music" doesn't do either justice. Joe, you should demand that this "song" be removed and replaced with something a little less vulgar!

Max HDN got everything he deserved.
But you're welcome to think that way. It's not Russia. This isn't Russia is it??

maxkilian: your right on. May be hard to believe, but there were actually real live Hog "fans" who hoped the Hogs would lose games, so Nutt would lose his job. And yes I met some of these.
