Both Bradley Beal and BJ Young are from Missouri. Imagine if CMA could recruit the team Missouri would have right now.

Just remember if CMA were our coach last year BJ wouldn’t be a Razorback today.

Nice link. Doesn’t negate the facts I post. Have a nice day.

And to be clear I don’t want to be right about Mike Anderson. I want our basketball team to be elite again.

    THEY SUCKKK!!!

  29. the501keith the501keith says:

They won’t hit all those 3′s in the 2nd half, we will make a run but the hole is too deep just like the Tennessee game, I was expecting more out of Madden and Abron this year but maybe next year

  30. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Hey Keith, are you on Twitter?

  38. mrprfct mrprfct says:

    Wade for sure.

    BJ at the point
    Wade at the 2
    Madden at the 3
    Mickleson at the 4
    Abron at the 5

  41. lonehog81 lonehog81 says:

Antony just because that’s all we have right now

  43. hognick Hognick says:

SEC officials are the worst in the country. Especially against Arkansas. I realize that these calls would not impact the end result of this game. But the SEC should look into this game like the football game.

  44. Hunter7074 luckey says:

This team has to have time to jell together some hog fans need to be patient and give them time until then they are not going to beat every body.New coach, new system, young players and need more and better players give it time people. Some hog fans need be more positive with their comments and support your hogs.and the referees in this game suck and do not need to be refs with their bull crap calls

  45. skezell skezell says:

“And to be clear I don’t want to be right about Mike Anderson. I want our basketball team to be elite again.”

I’d like to believe that…I really would. But you only seem to show up on game blogs during blowout losses to talk about MA’s lack of recruiting. That gives me pause. You fail to give him credit for the wins he’s had this year and for exceeding expectations, even with this ugly stretch we’re enduring. You seem more interested in getting on here tooting your own horn and talking about what a failure this regime has been. You, the same guy who griped at people who criticized Willy Robinson during football season and defended him to the bitter end despite his poor track record. Now you’re ready to shove MA out of the nearest airlock after half a season.

You have a right to your opinion, and you may even be right about the long-term concerns with MA, only time will tell. At the same time, isn’t 20+ games into a first season with a very young roster a little early to be complaining this much? Not to mention the 12-year-old mess that he is trying to clean up (poor previous coaches, low APR, etc.). I realize that you were against his hiring in the first place (he wouldn’t have been my first choice either), but don’t you think you’re jumping the gun here? Regarding his recruiting, shouldn’t we give him the chance to develop his, by your estimation, subpar recruits into good players? If I’m not mistaken, we praise our football coach for doing more with less–might that be true of our basketball coach as well? And finally, I suppose I would ask you: what realistic coaching prospect could we have gotten to come in here and start pulling in top flight recruits after one year? I’m just curious to hear where you’re coming from.

  46. Platinúm Jesús Platinúm Jesús says:

    You nailed it beasley ;)

  47. mrprfct mrprfct says:

    You make some valid points.

I’m not sure who we could have gotten. Considering we are paying Mike Anderson Top 10 money I believe we could have gotten almost anyone. I don’t think Jeff long considered anyone else. I believe the pressure to sign Anderson by fans that thought hiring would not only bring back the Nolan years, but the best Nolan years left Long no choice but to hire Anderson.

  48. lonehog81 lonehog81 says:

I agree….100% behind CMA…… officiating still sucked tonight

  49. Platinúm Jesús Platinúm Jesús says:

Dana Altman would come back for that kind of money.

  55. born2bahog born2bahog says:

    That is ugly… At home… Sold out… Bud Walton…. Not good…

  56. pochpunt pochpunt says:

We may have been blown out by two of the final four teams this year. We have alot of pieces to fill to be a challenge to the elite teams. When I saw Tennessee in that zone the other night our weaknesses were really exposed. Florida followed suit. With no viable inside presence it’s pretty simple to defend Arkansas. Florida left no doubt about their superority, but damn the officiating sucked. Maybe part of expierience is learning to foul hard. For all the energy expended by our players out on the floor, under the basket we have nobody willing to get down and dirty. We can’t even get the other team mad at us for being physical. Abron may have an attitude, but at least he shows some emotion.

  57. beasley beasley says:

Nothing wrong with your post skezell. I agree, give him his time. There are alot of people out there that want CMA to fail and just want to stir the pot.

It’s combine time. The next one that I’m aware of is the NUC in Searcy on March 17th. I’ll be in attendance. A week later is the EAE combine in Little Rock.

  61. razorback roger razorback roger says:

This is a young team. At least three that are top flight. Several are yeoman types. Only one, (Young) that is in the same league with Kentucky players. The bald truth is if Anderson is any good … it has not shown yet. If Arkansas is to get to the level of Florida and Kentucky, we have got to have much much better players than what we have now. Otherwise, shouda kept Pelphrey.

  62. jviking jviking says:

There is no way that you can fault Anderson for the team being 17-10 this year for crying out loud! We lost our best post guy two games into the season and had another big go down. A 6’4″ football player is getting minutes!!! Plus, Anderson’s system is not a system set-up for one and done players. It isn’t a Kentucky system. I think this team has been fabulous this year. We have won more SEC games this year than the last two years combined…did you know that???? I am thrilled to death with this team and the fight they have shown. OUR BEST PLAYER WENT DOWN 2 GAMES IN! How good do you think Kentucky would be without Anthony Davis? Florida without Beal? Ohio State without Sullinger? Take the best player off any team and it hurts. Going into this year I thought we might be a borderline NCAA team. When Powell went down I thought we would be lucky to win 4 or 5 SEC games. Anderson is in the running for national coach of the year, IMO. GEEZ some of you are frickin whiners (not everyone, obviously).

  63. hoophogfan hoophogfan says:

I will never regret getting Mike Anderson. Nolan did not win much in his 1st year. It took time.

  64. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Arkansas went 7-9 in the SEC last year.

  65. the501keith the501keith says:

@POCHPUNT and then abrons smile about the tech, screw that, give the official a reason to call the tech

  66. Mike Anderson is a major upgrade. He will get the job done at Arkansas.

Nothing personal with Pel but it was time for a change. The team would not have 17 wins at thiis point if Mike wasn’t the coach.

  67. RepMO Razorback RepMO Razorback says:

I didn’t know what to expect of the team this year. I decided no matter what happened, it would be a positive. If we won, made a run at the SEC championship, made the NCAA tournament, that would be great. It would produce immediate dividends. If we struggled, I believed (and still do) CMA would push himself, the other coaches and players to make sure they don’t struggle again next year.

Regarding the comments about CMA’s recruiting, how many players on the current team did he recruit? (As much as it hurts me to say this…) Look at Mizzou whose team is filled with his recruits. They are 23-2 and #3 in the country. That didn’t happen overnight.

I would love for the Razorbacks to be 23-2 right now but that isn’t a reasonable expectation. I’m going to give him time to institute his system, get the players to run it and to get more great prospects signed.

Let’s all remember that CBP was 5-7 his first year. Look what he has done since then!

  68. mrprfct mrprfct says:

CBP’s first class filled needs and was outstanding. No one can say the same about the 2012 basketball class.

  69. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Last year’s team won 18 games and wasn’t nearly as good as this team so I have to disagree with that opinion.

Is Pelphrey really the standard we are holding the current Top 10 paid coach to?

  70. justahog justahog says:

a great deal of the disappointment comes from this team playing over its head this year. MY hat is off to MA and the whole team. what 9 players and a couple walk on. lose the best player in the first game. after the lineup of practice games with the Mid Major type teams, I really didn’t think there would be many wins. and maybe these kids a hurt and bruised as the season comes to an end. one thing they had a learning experience, and better next year. DA BJ KM and HM did more than hold their own, and the Soph Class had their moments,,, and still 4 games to go who knows what may happen

  71. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Best player is BJ Young, not Marshawn Powell.

  72. RepMO Razorback RepMO Razorback says:

BJ Young has emerged as the best player but, at the start of the season, who would have been picked as the best player, the key to the success of the team?

This is not meant to be critical of or disrespectful to any of the freshmen – I thought they’d be productive but wouldn’t have said any would be the best player.

  73. mrprfct mrprfct says:

At the start of the season your choices were Sanchez, Waithe, Powell, Scott, Wade, and Nobles. Pretty easy to make the pick from those guys.

Really can’t compare football and basketball. With basketball you can come in and win with a mostly freshman team ie Michigan’s Fab 5 and Kentucky the last couple of years.

I’m giving him until after year 3. Plenty of time.

I’m guessing that dog years are being applied to this statement.

  88. skezell skezell says:

“I don’t think Jeff long considered anyone else. I believe the pressure to sign Anderson by fans that thought hiring would not only bring back the Nolan years, but the best Nolan years left Long no choice but to hire Anderson.”

I don’t think that’s entirely accurate. I think Long did consider others, but with the length of the tournament, it’s difficult to find candidates. And, yes, nostalgia has a lot to do with Anderson being here; I’ll grant you that. But Anderson has had two very good stops at UAB and Missouri. Although people think Missouri is a storied basketball program, they’ve only been to the elite eight three times, and have never gone beyond that round. Anderson took them to one of those. He took UAB to three straight NCAA berths; they had only had one in the previous ten years, and they’ve only had one since. That resume is certainly better than our previous two coaches. I can’t think of many coaches who have better resumes who would actually take this job even for the amount of money we are paying MA.

I know we love our basketball program, but we do not have the clout we had 15 years ago. As the search that ended with Pelphrey illustrated, we are a wounded program in need of a clear identity, solid coaching, and a track record. MA provides those. Once he gets more depth and players suited to his style, better players will come in recruiting.

  89. GonzoHog GonzoHog says:

I think we’re close. Just because we got our butts handed to us at home for the first time, this is no time to tuck tail and run, start pointing fingers or looking at hind sight with the coaching hire.

Now me personally, I’m behind CMA 100% as our head coach, although I wasn’t 100% behind the hire.
It wasn’t that I doubted CMA’s coaching/recruiting ability at all.
It was more the political reasoning behind the hire that bothered me the most.

At the time, I thought there were a handful of guys who could’ve come in here and done well as a head coach, but it seemed like CMA was #1 on the list no matter what and I had serious concerns over that.

I know a lot of people thought Stan Heath was brought in here for the color of his skin just as much as anything else, so that Frank Broyles could save face in light of the discrimination lawsuit Nolan was pushing on the university, mainly over Frank, but I truly wonder if those very same thoughts went through Jeff Long’s head when he hired CMA.

Are we not attempting to continue saving face now? Are we not still reconstructing the dynasty we watched Frank and Nolan destroy?

I love the way CMA coaches these young Hogs, but it still bothers me that we couldn’t have hired him under different circumstances.
It’s almost as if we were forced to do it, otherwise, had we not, the backlash from the racial issues may have gotten stired up all over again. JMO.

  90. oldhog oldhog says:

    Gonzo

One correction Frank ended the destruction Nolan was causing. He did exactly what NOLAN ASKED FOR – HE GAVE HIM HIS MONEY AND TOLD HIM TO CARRY HIS BUTT! Nolan got the money and still filed a frivolous lawsuit, which I for one will never forgive him for the damage that it did to The University of Arkansas. The rest of you can talk about what a great job he did, but the bottom line is – he did more harm than good IMO.

  91. lonehog81 lonehog81 says:

Cant we just all get along?………blame the refs… works for me.

  92. porkbellyboy porkbellyboy says:

geez! people are ready to start jumping ship already?!? if you expected alot from cma at the start of this season witth this roster. add the loss of powell, our only inside pressence, then you expected too much. this team has been more fun to watch than any other team we have put on the court in years. cma has had success everywhere he has been, and he will again, but not in one frickin year! why do people feel the need to complain about the coach after a butt whooping? i watched a bigger, faster, stronger team just mop the floor with us tonight. why? because they are better than us right now. they shot the lights out. florida is good. fine. dont quit. let our team learn from it and improve.

  93. GonzoHog GonzoHog says:

    oldhog,

I don’t diagree with you at all, but I’ve been in many a discussion over that debacle with others the past few years and I think it’s safe to say that some give Nolan way too much credit, just because of the great on-court success he brought to the program in the early to mid 90′s. In other words, they give him a pass.

What some refuse to see is the business side of the athletic program issues our administrators have to face over the long haul.
Graduation rates, recruiting procedures, the head coaches national media perception, then you still have to deal with everything else that contributes to winning and losing on the court and the playing fields.

Racism is never an easy thing to deal with. The problem with it is just because someone believes it’s happening, doesn’t automatically make it true.

Whether it’s true or not, some believe it to be true, just because the lawsuit was filed and recieved the obvious national attention it was most certainly meant to bring.

I think it’s a great thing Nolan is finally being recognized here at the U of A for the “on-court” success he had.
I suppose though we will just continue to ignore the fact he tried to burn this university’s reputation to the ground after he practically challenged his bosses to fire him on national television 10 years ago.

I can forgive, but I will never forget the truth.

  94. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Gonzo, I’m with you 100%. I wasn’t behind the hire for several reasons. One that I believe is that with hire Hog fans thought they were not only getting the Nolan years, but the very best Nolan years. Also, I believe that Jeff Long was not allowed to consider anyone else.

I know it doesn’t seem like I’m behind CMA, but I am. I’m pulling for us every game. I don’t want him to fail like other fans did with Pelphrey. I don’t want us to lose.

  95. News Carver News Carver says:

One thing I notice about our posting here lately that is consistent after a loss are the number of posts that chastise this imaginary CMA hater that we are supposed to have on here. I’m assumng there is at least one based on the number of posts about it , but I read this entire thread and didn’t spot him.

Maybe those posts are referring to something that was read on another site?

Is it just me or is B.J. Young > Beal ?

And B.J. #15 or so out of high school and Madden #27 or so out of high school. Right now Madden looks like he was a little over-rated coming out. Same head coach, different results.

  96. News Carver News Carver says:

Powell and the little dredlock guard we had were both in the 50-60 ranked range coming out of H.S. and Madden’s freshman play at this point is not anywhere close to the level they played at as true freshmen.

  97. GonzoHog GonzoHog says:

Not sure what’s going on with Ky Madden. He’s certainly a very good athlete, but has a terrible turnover issue going on right now.

The last two games, he’s been aweful turning over the ball.
He drives into this imaginary staging point, leaves his feet, then tries to pass off to a team mate that’s not open or even ready for the pass. Acts as if he’s completely clueless to the offensive game plan.

Hopefully, it’s just a slump he will pull out of. Might be trying to up his game before he’s ready to and just tries to do too dang much too early. Not sure though.

  98. GonzoHog GonzoHog says:

    News Carver,

I wonder if the old high school rivalry B.J. Young and Beal have had anything to do with B.J. being motivated and scoring his all time high as a Razorback yesterday?

I had a feeling both of those players might have a big game.

  99. News Carver News Carver says:

Probably had more to do with the HC finally allowing our best player to start. :dunno:

  101. News Carver News Carver says:

Reflecting back on the education I have received on here over the past year or so, it has occured to me that my beloved Frank Broyle’s talents should probably be ranked as so:

#1 Head Coach #2 Television Color Commentator (he was awesome at it) #3 Athletic Director

There are a lot of behind the scenes duties of an AD that I have no knowledge or appreciation for and so this comment pertains strictly to his coaching hire duties, although I understand Frank held his own when it came to fundraising.

Frank (made/was involved in) some solid coaching hires; Lou Holtz, Ken Hatfield, Nolan Richardson, Dave Van Horn.

Where Frank was a total drama queen was on retaining coaches or at least providing an atmosphere for a smooth transition. In this area of his job he had issues with Holtz leaving on bad terms, Hatfield leaving on bad terms leading to the spiteful hiring of Jack Crowe, Eddie Sutton leaving mad, the 5th grade level debacle that was Nolan’s firing, leading to a bad hire, the Houston Nutt soap opera.

Strictly in terms of the AD position, does anybody on here not totally agree that Jeff Long is a huge upgrade in talent to Frank Broyles?

Hog nation needs to realize that we may never build a team as successful as NR’s teams…I think everyones expectations can get the best of them when we lose a game…to think the Arkansas team that runs the floors this year would do any better than last year with all the players we lost and the key players we needed but didnt’t get is crazy…Yes, we had some major ballers commit this year, but we lost a few good ones we really needed…When this team lost Marshawn Powell it lost a tremendous amount of talent…In talent I mean someone who was battle tested in the SEC…The rest of the guys on this team have not seen any serious playing time…Scott was out last year…Sanchez is always hurt and rarely got major time in games….he and Waithe are all we have as senior leadership…So, we’ve lost possibky the best player on this team and now Sanchez…Say what you want about Sanchez but he is an asset to this team…I think these last couple of blowouts mainly the one on our home court say alot about Sanchez…This team is a true freshman team lacking depth…Waithe and Nobles are our only ballers with time In an SEC game…We need a true big man and Aaron Ross to help solidify this team…I’m not gonna question or compare Mike Anderson to Nolan Richardson…Thats unfair to CMA…Because the. Your saying if he doesn’t win a National title hes a bad coach…And that would make you wrong…It takes a special team to win a title and to be that team year in and out…You can do the math on the odds of winning one if you like…It’s ok to expect more with less…but be realistic of the challenges this team faces with what they have currently on the roster…I’m not even sure when they get all 15 schollys back…but 9 players with no proven leaders yet isn’t Mike Andersons fault…I do think a few players are scratching and clawing to lead but without depth everyone will struggle….hard to play when your fatigued…I want the BB team competing at its highest level…and as the depth gets better so will our hogs…I also hope CMA can take us back to the glory days…He may or may not but he is very capable of doing so…I’m with RD…He’s an upgrade…I’m at work right now and using my Iphone…Can anyone remember a team that was successful with a nine or ten player team with a first year coach? Heavy on freshmen as well… Just curious?

  103. slap270 slap270 says:

hogamania well said. I know those who didnt want CMA but as a fan some of you believe we had a chance to get some big name coach that espn loves to help recruit our team for us you are wrong. Anderson came here because this is where he wants to coach and be a successful coach. Missouri matched arkansas offer and he still came here so it wasnt money. You guys talk about the recruits that we want to come 1st thing is we want players that want to be razorbacks because those guys will give us there all on the fiels and basketball court. This is we have in our coaches Patrino and Anderson want to be the razorback coach and put a quality team on their playing ground. CMA didnt recruit this team pel did not 1 of Andersons recruits is on this team. The fact we have only had 9 schollie players is showing up late this season the players are in great shape but the style of play has about taken there legs. With a full roster of 13 players this team will be fine. And in order to win a championship in this style you need players. Look what he left at Missouri #3 rated team in country with 2 * players 1 4*player and this is what we have to look forward too. So all you guys who only come to complain about our loses have nothing to say when we win we will see alot less of your complaints next season when powell comes back and Qualls starts to rule the glass mr bell knocks down 6 3pointers in agame and mr williams and 6’8 mid range game adds to these players we have now that is getting beat up and learning to play CMA basketball.

LOVE MY HOGS WIN LOSE OR DRAW THEY ARE MY TEAM THATS HOW REAL FANS FEEL. iF you are support this program after a win go be a fan of another team please this is a RAZORBACK BOARD.

Gonzo, yes, Sanchez is hurt. He sprained his shoulder pretty severe, he’s been doubtful for the past few games. It’s not known when he’s expected to return for sure:

  105. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

Just remember if CMA were our coach last year BJ wouldn’t be a Razorback today.
    ******************************************************************

This is B.S.. Young could have gone somewhere else easily once he knew MA was going to be the coach. MA continued to recruit Young and the Arkansas kids to the UofA…and they came. He gets all the credit for keeping the kids here. Again…they could have easily gone somewhere else had they wanted to.

But…with your silly statement above I can say this…If MA was our coach last year we WOULD have Ricardo Ratliffe right now…and probably along with Young and the rest of our Arky crew and would be an entirely different group right now…thanks to MA.

As you can see and like yourself…it goes both ways.

Oh and I love to quote you because of how easy it is to debate you.

  106. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

Last year’s team won 18 games and wasn’t nearly as good as this team so I have to disagree with that opinion.

Is Pelphrey really the standard we are holding the current Top 10 paid coach to?
    ***************************************************************
Are you comparing a team in Pel’s 4th year to a team in MA’s FIRST year?? Well that’s convenient.

And last years team may not have been as good but then again…the SEC may not have been as good.

  107. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Actually, we wouldn’t have had Ratliffe. He wanted to come to Arkansas or Alabama but couldn’t because of the JUCO math rule.

  108. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

We gave Pelphrey four years. This guy is supposed to be a better coach. Shouldn’t take as long.
    *****************************************************************

Well o.k….then let’s give him 3 years then. So what else do you want to whine about until then??

Just like with Pel…if our program gets worse on the court each year and every team gets worse over the course of the year for 3 straight years…don’t worry…I’ll be right there with ya griping too.

Until then…give the guy a break. It’s his first year…putting in a completely different system…he has a depleted roster…he lost one of his top scorers very early…and has to rely mostly on Freshman where only ONE is Kentucky quality right now.

  109. mrprfct mrprfct says:

And if Young or Beal for that matter wanted to stay home and play for MA they could have, but for some reason they decided not to.

  110. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

If you’re thinking it was a Courtney Gardner situation it wasn’t. Ratliffe was going to be ready to roll but had to take ONE class. He chose Anderson over Pel. Bama wasn’t going to be in the picture.

Maybe I’m wrong and that’s o.k.. But that’s how I understood it at the time. If you have a link please let me read it so I’ll know that says he wasn’t SEC eligible.

  111. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

That doesn’t make any sense. So Young disliked MA so much that he decided to go out of state to play ball…but then on the other hand…decided to STAY out of state with this Coach he disliked because…..?????

  112. mrprfct mrprfct says:

Maybe BJ didn’t want to go through the process anymore.

The fact is both 5 star guards in Missouri decided against playing for Mike Anderson.

blake…I said that Dudley Dawson on the Bo show yesterday said Ratliffe was cancelling his other visits and wants to play with his buddy Powell.

So if that’s putting false things out then it’s only second hand off the radio. I figured DD would have an inside advantage to this knowledge.

    ———————————————————————

Things change by the hour. Ricardo could end up cancelling the visits. FWIW, I would be somewhat surprised if Ricardo didn’t end up at Arkansas but that’s not guarantee.

  113. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

So what exactly is what I guess was my quote from back in the day to the other mess…what does this have to do with Ricardo being eligible or not being eligible to play for Arkansas??

And what does this have to do with the question of why Young would go out of state to only stay out of state for the same coach you thought he was avoiding?? The Powell thing?? You think he would play for a Coach you thought he was avoiding…only to then ACCEPT him as long as he got to go play with Powell??

  114. mrprfct mrprfct says:

    Not your quote. Richard’s.

And here’s for your Alabama wasn’t even in it.

    http://www.ocala.com/article/20100323/SPORTS/100329933/1026/SPORTS

  115. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

So you think because in this article about him visiting Bama that that means they were on the verge of signing him???

  116. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

The first link on Ratliffe was for a message board just like this one. Please tell me you aren’t taking the rumors heard on message boards as gospel.

The second link was better but was the same thing I had said too…that he needed to take a summer class to do some make up work. It looks like he had to do the same with Mizzou so that only tells me that he had summer work to do both places and this probably didn’t have as much to do with where he went as where he WANTED to go.

So again…this doesn’t do anything to detract from the fact that had MA been at Arky during this time we still would have gotten Ratliffe.

  117. mrprfct mrprfct says:

I think clearly shows that you’re wrong about Alabama “not even it” or whatever words you used.

  118. mrprfct mrprfct says:

The message board link shows what a lot of people, including myself, heard Ron Crawford say. Ron Crawford is THE authority when it comes to basketball.

  119. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

I think it shows you’re demented and don’t know what the crap you’re talking about.

The link you provided only states he took a visit to a place. He also took one to Clemson. It doesn’t mean…that at the end…that these places had a shot…it just means they made a certain cut. At the end it was down to Mizzou and Arkansas. NEXT..

Ron Crawford said what everyone else heard…and what contradicts something you are trying to portray. That Ratliffe would have been a hog had it not been for academic issues. This says a couple of things. ONE…that you were wrong about Bama and that it truly was down to Mizzou and Arky…there’s no getting around this now. You were wrong.

And two…we’ve both said that academics were an issue but from my understanding he could have taken the summer school for Arkansas too to become eligible. He chose to take the summer school to become eligible for MA and Mizzou instead. Did that mean one more class or two…I don’t know. But he could have put in the time for Arkansas had he wanted to come.

And Ron Crawford is a bit like DD. He says things AFTER the fact. Crawford dances around about where he thinks kids are going because he’s not going to spill out directly what he thinks. He skirted around but leaned his insinuations about Archie going to Arkansas too…and he went to Kentucky. After the fact…Ron talked how he thought he might do so. It’s all games to look smarter. Kinda like what you try and do.

But yes…if he would ever come out directly with what he thought…Ron would be one of the Authorities on the subject.

  120. hogen-dazs hogen-dazs says:

DGB took a visit to Bama. Does that means that it was down to Bama and Mizzou at the end. No…it means it was still down to Mizzou and Arkansas at the end.

    A visit alone…doesn’t mean crap.

  121. mrprfct mrprfct says:

You must have not read what Richard wrote in response to your comment.

DGB said that there wasn’t a 2nd place team so it wasn’t down to just Missouri and Arkansas.

  122. razorrandy RazorRandy says:

So who is right?….bring it, or be embarrassed!!!

    LMAO!!! WPS!!! & GHG!!!

  123. skezell skezell says:

It’s time to play “the Feud” Razor Randy.

  124. jviking jviking says:

No matter what anyone says, it is unfair to judge someone in their first season (by the way, the season is stll not over) with 8 scholarship players healthy and no-one they recruited on the team.

BTW…as to the Kentucky question I take Young over Teague and Mickelson over Wilter. Plus, what you have to remember about Kentucky is how will our juniors look like to their freshman. They will lose Miles (senior), Davis (likely #1 pick in the draft next year), Kidd-Gilcrest (top 5), Teaque (top 10), and Jones (likely lottery pick). There next class doesn’t look nearly as good (5 stars, but not high five stars). Kentucky will have a huge drop off next year. HUGE!

  125. pochpunt pochpunt says:

About this highly rated freshman class BJ is the only one that has upheld his rating. Madden, Mickelson, and Abron may eventually become good players , but to this point have not shown enough to justify their rankings out of highschool. Hopefully after a year in the system by this time next year they will have shown significant improvement.
