Living just a short drive from the Arkansas campus, Bentonville offensive lineman Marcus Danenhauer didn’t have much to learn while on his official visit.

“I met a lot the football players and they were pretty cool,” Danenhauer said. “I can’t wait to get up here and start school and start football.”

Danenhauer, 6-5, 315, 5.4, graded out at 89%, 98 knockdowns while allowing no sacks in helping the Tigers win the Class 7A state championship this past season. He’s humbled by the opportunity to be a Razorback.

“It’s just a great honor to be able to be considered to play at Arkansas,” Danenhauer said. “Not many people get to do this and I’m privileged.”

Danenhauer, who was hosted by center Travis Swanson, said he needs to work on everything before reporting to Arkansas.

“There’s always room for improvement,” Danenhauer said. “I want to get stronger and faster. I need to go kill it in the weight room.”

Offensive line coach Chris Klenakis, who has impressed Danerhauer during the recruiting process, held a position meeting on Saturday.

“I really like coach K,” Danenhauer said. ” He really knows his stuff. We sat there and learned some of the plays and what he expects out of us. I really like what he has going on up here.”

i’d like to see a before and after of marcus after his redshirt year..gotta think coach veltkamp will sculpt him up quite a bit. Seems like he has the right mentality coming in as well.

Kill it in the wt room so you can start killin’ (figuratively) opposing DLs.
