I think the defense will be going for the shutout while the offense works on establishing the running game. I see Mallett riding the pine for the second half so we should see a lot of Mallett to Childs in the first half.
56-0 Hogs.
Mallett 15-18 260 yards 4 TDs
Childs 8 catches 130 yards 2 TDs
The Hogs will rush for 250 yards
Tyler Wilson will hookup with DJ Williams a lot in the second half.
Andru Stewart will continue getting a ton of turnovers and Anthony Leon will knock somebody out.
As Mallett would say ” Get Ready”!!!
(Have I drank too much Kool Aid?)
I think the offense will rack up a lot of yards. The defense should cause aleast 4 turnovers. With that said 66-10. 300 plus day for mallet. I have a feeling that d Johnson will have a great all purpose game.
Richard is there an updated depth chart available?
Porkfritter, Im drinking out of the same jug you are then.
Anthony Leon will knock somebody out.
I like where going with this.
70-7! 4 TDs for Mallett, 3 for Wilson, Green runs for 2 short yardage scores and Wingo Jr. busts an early 70 yard TD. Starter are done with dinner by halftime.
if you are drinking the kool aid then Richard is too! But this kool aid tastes so sweet.

It should be a rout but I see 3 takeaways by the D and way less than 200 yds in total offense for the Golden Eagles… a shutout unless we turn the ball over deep or have our #3′s in against their #1′s. CBP and CWR want domination? They’ll get domination from these kids on Saturday… including a safety.
Score will be as high as CBP will let it go. He doesn’t seem like the kind of coach that would humiliate another NCAA Coach… unless that coach is named Saban, Urban, Malzahn, or Nutt.
Mallett will be unstoppable in the first half and Wilson will FINALLY have a good day… 9/13 135 yds… but the running game will EXPLODE in the 2nd half with over 300 yds for the game.
Total Offense 640 yds. AR-65 TNTech-0
Dennis Johnson gets 170 yard running game, 2 touchdowns. Mallett throws for 300 in the first half alone, then Wilson throws for 150 in the second half and then Brandon Mitchell gets a quarter to play around.
Joe Adams has a breakout game. Bequette destroys, and possibly injures their quarterback.
Basically, Tennessee Tech will look like the Cowboys did in their preseason game against the Texans.
I have made it my goal now. I will send every AD Department that we play a jug of something I and the jerk offs from Jersey Shore call Haterade. Addresses would be helpful hogfans, or we could do it as a whole as some sort of phsycological warfare on our opponents. Victory will taste so sweet sat. night. Back to the Kool-aid! Empty containers prefered by Fed Ex.
OMG! I forgot DJ. make it 77-7!
Brand new ESPN video on Mallett, enjoy!

4-5 showers a day! lol. this kid is committed!
It just hit me guys. Do any of you remember the last time that Arkansas was ranked the third highest team in the SEC in the preseason? It probably never happened in this conference. When have we ever been ranked ahead of LSU, Georgia, and Auburn?
I cant wait to see our performance on the field! But everyone should remember that if Arkansas defense looks impressive against tech, don’t go touting the glories of Willy and the Defense until we see them play against an SEC opponent. We will not be able to tell much until then.
Thanks Richard! Rivals still has the spring depth. That’s disappointing. I really think Dennis is the perfect back for the offense. He has always been a gamer. Great vision, strength, and speed.
Dennis Johnson can be successful for us and even at the next level. Maurice Jones-Drew is 5’9″
DJ will get plenty of touches, even though the updated depth chart lists all RBs as OR.
I know its kind of wierd seeing only Fla. and Bama ahead of us like that.
They have Leon and Franklin battling for the same position. That doesn’t seem right. Franklin was one of two defensive playmakers on the team. IMO.
I don’t know guys; we may lose this one. Seriously. We know this is a tune-up game, so to me the score is not important, particularly on offense. What I HOPE to see is the defense give up less than 10 points. One of the most disappointing parts of last season was when Eastern Michigan hung 28 points on the defense. We have to hold it down on defense, and I think we will this week: 56-6.
D.J is so powerful for his size, MJ-D is a really good comparison. I just dont see him not getting alot of touches this year. Hopeful that we can shorten his workload on the KR part of his game by having better defense, but he is to talented not to get the ball in his hands. We have some honest depth at RB. Alot are saying Mallett could have 40 touchdowns this year, I would love to see it happen only if we can run the ball as well. Being one dimesional really hurt us at critical points last yr. Thanks for the video PHFTW, I had no clue Mallett is a 5* punter as well. 60 yds is hell of a long way to punt a football, plus the 80 yrd arm. I heard he flung an 85 yarder in little Rock last year, dont know if it is a fact. Wouldnt suprise me if he can throw a 90 yarder knowing this kids talent.
we should have mallett punting for us.
E. Michigan is kindof like the Vanderbilt of the MAC. So yeah them hangin 28 on us at home didnt help image wise one bit.
Last week, I said 66-10 and I’ll stick witg that. The 1st team D will bot give up a point. Joe Adams will score the 1st TD. Brandon Mitchell will wrap it up with a long run on a bootleg for a score.
I see a game similar to that against Eastern Michigan. Arkansas goes in at the half ahead 42-0 and then lets the depth chart (3rd string) get game experience with a final score of 70 – 21. In the first half Arkansas will have 350+ yards of offense while Tenn. Tech has less than 100 with 2 turnovers.
The national media who only looks at the stat sheets will see that Tenn. Tech scored 21 points and had more than 350 yards of offense, will completely ignore that almost all of it came in the second half after the game was out of reach, and continue to underrate our defense.
Will anyone be at the game?
Wow! Massoli deemed ineligible til 2011 per Shawn Arnell!
BP said the starting RB will be the one that does the best job of blocking and protecting the QB. He said they are all doing a good job running the ball.

dallashogfan- 21 points with less than 100yds? Is that possible? I know our punters are iffy, but they’d have to average the ball at the ~33 yd line, with only 3 posessions, and score each time. Honestly, if our defense lets them score on EVERY POSESSION, we’re hosed.
Though, maybe you meant they lose 8+yds on every play except the three in which they bust 99.5 yard TD runs… I hope not though.
56 – 9 Hogs….WPS!!!
Whatever your predictions for Ole Miss…you might want to lower them a little. Funniest part of the article is when Nutt says “we’re in the people helping business”….HA….since when???
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5516909
I just rewatched the beginning of the LSU game last season. I remember thinking this at the time, and I’m even more sure of it now. I blame Ben Cleveland for the loss. That third or so play, when Mallett threw deep downfield TO CLEVELAND, where Cleveland looked like he was jogging, and bent over a bit, as if “yeah right, I’m a diversion, Mallett’s not going to throw to me…” He didn’t even look for the ball, he was looking forward when lsu intercepted. If not for that play, technically speaking, we should’ve been 30-37 at regulation, though I really think if we scored the first touchown (yes, we scored the first points on a tejada kick, but bear with me), our optimism and confidence would’ve propelled us more to something like 40-23
Andrew, I believe DHF meant 100 yards in the 1st half, then they would score their points against the scrubs in the 2nd like E Mich did last year.
48 to 3
Hogs win big, 73-07. Tenn Tech doesn’t score until the second half against Arkansas’ 2nd and 3rd team defenders. Mallett is only in for the first half and the first offensive possession of the 3rd qtr, he completes 15 of 17 passes for 286 yards and 5 TD. The RB’s rush for 255 yards and 3 TD, Dennis Johnson or Joe Adams return a kick/punt for a TD, and the defense scores too.
I’m going with mastershog’s prediction of 65-0.
The defense will score 1, maybe even 2 TDs in this one.
I see the D-line dominating.
Ryan and D.J. will look impressive in their season debut.
All 4 RBs will be “rumblin, stumblin, bumblin”.
Joe Adams will take a punt to the house.
Alex Tejada will go 2/2 on FG attempts. Eddie Camara will go 1/1.
Cobi Hamilton will have the T. Tech FS going “back, back, back, back, back…”.
Greg Childs is going to run over a few folks after some catches.
Jarius Wright will catch a 50+ yard TD.
Zack Hocker will send at least 2 kickoffs out of the endzone.
Hogs Win.
A defensive struggle.
3-0 Hogs in OT. Hocker comes in and nails a 60 yarder!!
70-10.
-
Van Stumon has 2 touchdowns. 1 receiving, 1 on a fumble recovery in the endzone
-
Kadeem Jack commited to Rutgers today, wonder who he will commit to next week.

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. take that nutt. your risky gamble came back to bite you in the nutts. good luck coaching up your number 2 quarterback to prepare for the season after you threw him under the bus for a nutcase Masoli! oh wait, i forgot that you don’t really groom quarterbacks anyway.
Geez Dal, I misread, didn’t mean to offend.
But while we’re on the subject . . . Think about what my *what* learned? You left out a bracketing comma as well, btw. Right after the ” ‘in the first half’,” inside the quotation marks, though admittedly that one isn’t necessary.
Guys, stop acting like middle-aged English teachers. No one is impressed.
I am……
Me two…..I mean…Me to…..Wait, I mean……Me too….Ah heck….Me also!!!!!!
Aint no needs in stoppin! I’z needs much edumucatin’ az pozzibl!!
On a side note….Suck it HDN!!
How may of you think we will feel sorry for HDN after we beat them like a red headed step child…(bad comparison)….like a topping for a lemon pie.
54-3 Hogs. And nutt gets what he asked for.. the d.a.
Leon, Franklin, and Nelson lined up at first team linebacker spots at practice on Tuesday. Whoever said “Franklin will be our mike,” nice job. That, I think, is the dream team, for the Hogs at least.
Considering there are a number of top 25 teams knocking each other off in the first two weeks of the season, I’m expecting the Hogs to score a lot of “STYLE” points. This is an opportunity for the team to set a “take no prisoners” tone for the season, get their opponents down, and keep pushing the gas pedal. LET’S GO!!!!! HOGS-73 tn tech-0,
HOGS-63 ulm-3, HOGS 45 uga-10, HOGS-31 bama-14, HOGS-52 ta&m-7, HOGS-49 au-7, HOGS-63 ole piss-10, HOGS-77 vandy-3, HOGS-45 sc-13, HOGS-56 utep-6, HOGS-55 msu-10, HOGS-35 lsu-14, HOGS-42 gators-21(the refs can’t help you now), HOGS-38 sooners-24. Kiss the rings and the crystal ball ya’ll. Coach of the year, He15man, Outland and Biletnikov come to the Hill. In the spirit of Peyton, Tim, Colt, and Matt…Ryan will be baaacckk in 2011. DYNASTY. Drinking the Kool-Aid…and will continue to. Anybody else want some?? GO HOGS!!!!!
They seem to do this every year with Franklin. I hope CBP is just playing the same game with Darius Winston. Winston and Isaac Madison should be the starters, with Ramon Broadway as the nickel back.
I hope I have not had too much coolaid and that I am not mentally impaired, but truly believe that our defense will shine just like the offence. I believe we have the talent and the desire to make a profound statement. My hope is that the defense stays hungry and the offence cant get enough. Go piggies Go.

Mallet throw for 6 td’s – Hogs roll 70-10.
63-0 Us
First shutout since Petrino’s arrival. Defense records 2 INTs (A. Stewart and Tramain Thomas) and 2 fumbles recovered (Bequette and Franklin). Mallett goes 18-19 for 300 yards and 3 TDs (one each to Greg Childs, J Wright, and Joe Adams), while Dennis Johnson and Ronnie Wingo each have 40+ yard TD runs, all in the 1st quarter and a half. Tyler Wilson connects with Cobi Hamilton and Lance Ray for 2 more TDs spanning across the next 22 minutes of game time. Brandon Mitchell connects with Maudrecus Humphrey for 65 yards and runs another in from 40 yards out for two TDs in the 4th quarter.
I don’t care much for the NCAA but denying Masoli eligibility for this season was classic! It wasn’t the fact that he was deemed ineligible but that the NCAA waited until the week of the Rebs first game of the season to let them know that they would be without their starting quarterback for the season. HDN was so giddy that he all but named Masoli the starter without waiting to see how the NCAA would respond! HDN is truly, “A Real Man Of Genius!”
Right now all HDN can say is:
EEEEEWWWWWW WE ALMOST HAD HIM!!!!

Hogs – 63
T Tech – 6
Our backs will still have problems running the ball early on but will get on track in the second half. Ryan Mallet will be be efficient and accurate going 14/15 for 289 yards and 4TDs.
Tyler Wilson will fumble his first snap but will get it back. From that point on he will be almost perfect going 9/12 for 154 yards and 2 TDs.
Running Backs will combine for 2 rushing TDs and the leading rusher will be Dennis Johnson with 111 yards on the ground.
Dennis johnson will come close to returning a kickoff for a touchdown but will get tripped up by one of his blockers.
Defense will be dominant by forcing 3 fumbles, winning 2 of them and intercepting 3 passes, in which, Andru Stewart will return for a TD.
Andru Stewart will return 1 for a TD
The only part of the kicking games utilized will be the kickoff team and extra points. The defense will be awesome. Hogs win big with Mallet and the rest of the starters watching the second half.

66-7

Wingo 1-7 0

Remember last year when Mallett was incredibly accurate and our WRs didn’t drop a pass? I’m hoping for more of the same. Mallett goes 18-24 for around 300 yards and 3 TD. Tyler Wilson see’s plenty of action and connects on 12-17 for around 150 and a TD. Brandon Mitchell gets a couple of series and goes 2-5 for 35 yards and a pick, but also uses his legs for a 56 yard TD.
In the running game…Broderick Green gets the most carries at 12 and finishes with 80 yards and 2 TDs, Knile Davis breaks the biggest gain of the day with a 42 yard gash, finishing with 8 carries and 80 yards. DJ gets 6 carries but can only amass 30 yards. Ronnie Wingo makes the most of his 7 carries and gains 50 yards and a TD. That would be a total of 33 carries, fairly evenly distributed…plus a few Brandon Mitchell runs. That plus 45 pass plays puts us at 78 plays for the game…plus any sacks.
Total yardage gained: Passing: 485 yds + Rushing: 240yds = 725 yds
Tejada: 2/3, missing from 46yds
Score: 62-7
Defense gives up 175 yards and 1 TD.
DOMINATION OF AN OHIO VALLEY TEAM??? I think so!!
Arkansas 62
TT 10
Slower start than usual, as the offense hits gear midway in the second quarter. Tejada threads the needle on two field goals. Defense allows a late score, long after the starters are pulled.
