One of the top receivers in the nation, Quinta Funderburk will be attending the Alabama game on an official visit. He was featured in Friday’s recruiting column in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Funderburk, 6-4, 205, 4.5 of Chesapeake, (Va.) Oscar Smith has more than 20 scholarship offers but recently narrowed his list to Arkansas, Penn St., Michigan, West Virginia and Florida. He caught 62 passes for 1,150 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.

The Razorback’s passing game, which led the SEC in passing yardage, gives the Hogs a leg up on the competition.

“It gives them a great edge,” said Funderburk of Arkansas’ passing attack. “I like the SEC because they’re real diverse because most of the ACC football teams mostly run the ball. I really like Arkansas because they throw the most.”

The SEC’s well deserved reputation of being the best conference in college football is also appealing.

“Most SEC schools are bowl contending schools.” Funderburk said.

Richard, another great article today. I hope we get this guy. Childs, Hamilton, Funderburk…

  2. Blake Blake says:

I am so pumped about this… I can’t believe this thread only has one response so far…

This kid is one of the best in the nation, and just said we are one of his most attractive options because of our offense and our coaches, and nobody seems pumped about this…

We’ve already talked about this all week in another thread. But still, I hope he ends up a Hog.

I’m pumped up about it too Blake, but in the end, it’ll probably just give Rodney another reason to blast the defense/Willy and blame CBP for attracting another great offensive talent.
Were in a transition mode of improvement for both the offense and defense, and there’s a lot more improvement for the offense to be done than a lot of people seem to think.

I hope we’re able to land this kid. The Alabama game will be huge for us in attracting this kind of talent.
I believe that game has the potential to put us over the top in recruiting. A win over the Tide would be awesome.

I really hope we get this young man! He could be a A.J. Green type of player…

    Rodney,
    He is an offensive player!
