Richard, thanks for the update.
One of these days I want to read an update on here from Richard that’s titled “Dallas Trio call the Hogs”.
English, Wallace, and Barnett? I think if/when English gets an offer, there will be a domino effect of English, Barnett, Wallace… at least, I hope. I like how, effectually, we are Kellen Jones’ #1, and he doesn’t even have any other options at the moment…
Me too LOL
I think we will eventually offer English. I feel like our chances for Barnett are excellent, but Wallace is the one I’m not real confident about.
I haven’t heard anything new on Demarcus Hodge. Last week I thought he was close to pulling the trigger. I would like to see him commit soon.
Man, Kellen Jones is a beast. We’ve gotta have him.
There are many reports that Wallace and Barnett will go to the same school whichever school that may be.
Kellen Jones is a beast but, FYI, the competition he plays against is very suspect. It’s a league made up of smaller private schools in Houston. I was wondering if he’s been to any of our camps.
Sweet…. I just ordered my bama tickets
…. Although they cost me almost as much as season tickets would have….
where did you find them big hog?
agreed on the fishy competition, but no doubt kj is a fearless kid with a serious motor.
If was an All State player in his classificaton. In Texas that always makes a statement. I would take him in a heartbeat!
Got them at stub hub… Paid $200 a piece… ouch! But I will be sitting on the home-side 50 yard line section.

Article about “underdog” Elite 11 QB Adam Pittser. Says he would like to here from several schools including Arkansas.

That was a good article BigBoi thanks.
Kellen Jones sure does know how to find the guy with the football.
I thought they didnt sell tickets yet? are you sure you didnt get ripped off?
Season tickets orders are in, though they haven’t mailed them yet (I haven’t received mine, anyway). If you are ordering tickets off of Stubhub from a perennial season ticket holder who knows where his seats are, you should be in good shape.
Devondrck, Devondrick, Devondrick! He probably ran the 40 in the amount of time it took to say that. Ive already expressed my feelings on Kellen Jones. Hope they choose the path to the hill1
I get the exact same seats for at least one game every year… These companies buy season tickets in bulk, then mark them up and sell them individually…
Scout was reporting that we offered Brock Haman! It must’ve not been confirmed yet because after it was posted it was taken back down I don’t see it being reported elsewhere. Brock’s FB page isn’t saying anything about it, rivals has nothing on it, recruitmaps.com has nothing on it and of course, Richard hasn’t confirmed it yet!
Petrino speaking at SEC media days will be on ESPN-U at 8:30 CDT.
AM
TICKETS HERE!!!
StubHub is ok. I’ve used it before.. I thought Ebay had taken it over, but that maybe another site.. – Anyways.. Don’t go to these sites if you’re looking for Fayettville tickets… I’ve got some to sell and I’ll sell them for simply what I paid…. – I have 2 extra tickets for each game.. I’ve sold the Bama tickets already amd possibly the Ole Miss ones too… – So that leaves Vanderbilt (homecoming), UTEP, and Tennessee Tech (season opener)… If I don’t sell the Ole Miss thing I’ll post them too…
Last year they were located on the 40, home side upper level… I asked for lower and more towards the 50 this year… Won’t recieve them till around August.
Send me an email if you’re interested… blu3tick@hotmail.com

Don’t get too excited about Wallace just yet. As far as going to the same school as Barnett, that is more of Barnett talking than Wallace.
-
While we are in the running with Wallace, based on his reactions during interviews I would say at the highest we are 3rd on the list.
-
Still a long way to go, hope we get him, and we do have a shot, but we will be in for a fight.
What I think Wallace will begin to understand is that Arkansas needs him the most… LB we need help in a big big way. We have added depth, but it is young and he could easily come in and start right away..
Nealy has some moves and speed. He looks good in the video; however, he plays in the smallest football classification in Florida. Walker on the other hand plays in the largest football classification in Missouri. He looks powerful, but a little slow. The bottom line is I would take either one or both of them.

Look at this Auburn article…they’re thinking we could be 2-3 when we come to play them.
“Depending upon which Arkansas team shows up in Texas, the Razorbacks could be 2-3 heading into Auburn, despite having one of the better teams in the SEC. Against each of those three BCS teams, one has to ask, will we get the Razorback team that puts up 36 points per game, or will we get the bunch that needed overtime to defeat East Carolina in the Liberty Bowl?”
also the prediction
“Prediction: Ryan Mallett’s experience serves him well, and we see far fewer forced throws and bad decisions. Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, the upgraded Auburn running attack, mixed with play-action bombs is pretty much unstoppable in this one. Auburn outlasts the Razorbacks, 52-38.”
We will beat Auburn this year without a doubt.
Blake, who would he start in front of next year? Jerry Franklin? Jerico Nelson? Terrell Williams? Austin Moss?
I’d say Terrell Williams and Austin Moss, but not right away. Probably get some reps by mid-season, with increased playing time near the end.
If he’s as good as advertized, I think he competes for a starting job in the pre-season of his Soph. year.
That would Braylon Mitchell will never start.
So which Auburn will show up, the one that beat Ole Miss or the one that almost let Northwestern beat them in the Outback Bowl, or–I don’t know–maybe the one that we shredded last year? Now, I’m not saying the Auburn game is in the bag for us (I respect them enough to know that they are capable of beating us), but Auburn fans and pundits make me smile when they like to ignore the butt whoopin we put on them last year. And it makes me smile when people bring up the ECU game; a game in which the wind chill was 15 degrees and the ball was probably hard as a rock–not exactly conditions that allow you to get some offense going. Whatever, that article just reinforces that Auburn people are titty babies.
Oh, and that upgraded Auburn running attack that LOST Ben Tate, one of the best runners in the conference? So freshman Michael Dyer is already BETTER than Ben Tate. Please. I just need to stop before I blow a gasket.
I’m not impressed with Auburn, their JUCO QB, their OC (he coached at Springdale High for what 5 years and won only 1 state title), their HC, their defense, their mascot(s), or their freshman RB.
I think they miss the fact that there seemed to be a point last year where people figured out Gussy’s offense and they lost the vast majority of their games the second half of the season. No one has the book on Bobby P., yet. We were getting better as the year progressed. Was Auburn?
The reason nobody has the book on BPs offense yet is because he writes a new chapter every year. Last year he incorporated the pistol into the passing game and this year into the running game.
Also BPs passing game is option based each receiver options his route based on how he is being defended. If you have 5 receivers each having 2 or 3 different routes to choose from you can run the same play over and over and it will look different on film every time. If you think you recognize a play and cheat the receiver will option the other route. They run some plays the same way every time hoping to get a DB to bite on the short route and get burned deep.

I will not be overly-shocked if we go to auburn at 3-2… 2-3 however is a stretch.. My prediciton says we will start 2-2, then win 8 straight, finish 10-2… Eat some sugar…
auburn will get exposed this year… Arkansas st. will be up for a football game Sept. 2nd (ask texas a&m or iowa)… Then Miss. st. will beat them in Starkville week 2… Then it gets ugly… clemson, south carolina, at kentucky.. they will most likely be 2-4 when we play them…
I have trouble finding more than four wins for the flying eagle tiger turds..
For some reason, Auburn every year either really scares me, or is not even on my mind (to which I usually am right on that game), and this year, IM NOT WORRIED… Arkansas 44 Awfulburn 24

After reading this, I realized that Mike Dyer must already be in Heisman contention. War Beagle!!!!
War Damn Smeagle!!
That is what Ole Miss should change their Mascot to Smeagle…
The Auburn game scares me more than any game on our schedule. More than Bama more than Georgia
I agree BC…at Auburn and at S.Carolina will tell the tale of this year IMO!
Wow you would think those aubarners would have learned a little about predictions from TT. Remember the three touchdown win they were suppose to have last year? I wonder if TT hid in the restroom when we were up 35-3 at halftime. Maybe the author of that prediction should look at how Gus’s god given offense has faired against Ol Willys D over the last 2 seasons. Truly a biased and uneducated prediction. Who wrote that waste of space column any way?
Never mind.
During media days interviews, when asked about the defense… I have heard Coach Bobby Petrino, Mallett, Bequette, and D.J… All 4 of them.. Mention Ramon Broadway by name… This kid must have had a great summer… With all of these guys mentioning him by name, that has to say something about his improvement…
There has been so much focus on Madison & Winston this summer, maybe Broadway and Andru Stewart will step up and surprise…
I think TT was setting his old team up with that prediction. What’s a better way to stick it to the school that got rid of you than by predicting they’ll win by an insane amount?
Auburn shouldn’t scare anyone. They’re not very good.
With Auburn’s irratic play last year and with all of their turn over it is impossible to predict how they will play this year. They could be very good if the new QB works out and the O-line shows major improvement. They could be terrible to quote their famous alum, if those things don’t happen.
I think we should beat Auburn but I’ll admit to staining my shorts when they scored 21 straight pts. in the second.
FWIW,
Because Shawn and Wally are in Hoover, Ala. there will not be a Recruiting Thursday. We’ll have Sam Tai, Barron Dixon and Kellen Jones on tomorrow night between 6 and 7.
Thanks for the heads up Richard.
MrP I hope you are correct. A good QB in that offense will improve them from last year. The thing that really worries me is that it is Georgia, Bama, TAM then Auburn. I think Georgia is overrated with new QB and Def Coor change. I think we have a real legit chance to beat Bama at home — 9 D starters gone overrated offense — but they can run the ball. After those two will we let down at TAM ?? If we do well in those three is Auburn and trap game on the road against a good offense — granted Willie’s D has handled them 2 years in a row but this QB is supposed to be good. That is why the Auburn game scares me. SC — another game on the road presents big ?? It is in Nov and they usually fade in Nov but what if they are in the hunt for a top spot in the East when we come to town? It is going to be a run and nerve racking season.
fun and nerve racking
Brent Schaeffer was supposed to be great when he signed with Ole Miss.
Yeah… auburn had a great 3rd quarter against us last year, scored three straight TD’s, to cut into the lead.. Then Dennis Johnson had one of the best kickoff returns I have ever seen, and left little doubt who was going to win that game..

Thats a pretty good way of thinking about it, surely motivated our boys! Auburn scares me like a fluffy newborn kitten. They IMO have no true identity to there offense. You may disagree and I may be proven wrong, but they’ve invested alot into Michael Dyer in terms of propaganda in things such as recruiting. I dont believe he is SEC ready and they really needed that sooner rather than later. At Arkansas, I believe our staff was more adamint on him sitting at least one year while Auburn Kitties threw parades for him. We are primed to become an elite program, not by the amount of *s we gather, but player devlopment. 3-4 years down the road and the hogs are putting out nFL ready players like BP has proven he can do (Elvis Dummervil, Harry Douglas) the *s will come and the Aubarners will learn a 3* or 4* player can turn into a 5* from player development over “scheme”.
I dont know what to add. You guys are so good at it. WPS ! ! !
Thanks guys !
kody walker is a bruiser
TT still has sour grapes about ARK because he was dumb enough to turn down the HC job with ARK when it was offered to him. After his snubbing of us, we got “lucky” (LOL) and got a nutt instead.
Everything worked out though, we ended up with a CHAMPION BUILDER, CBP!!! WPS!!!!!
Artez Brown commits to Ole Miss. I, for one, couldnt care less.
Eddie Haskell i sent the author of that link a message just to call him a idiot.
