I’ll be posting several updates on the camp as the day progresses.
I did have the opportunity to meet up with Kansas City Lee-Summit West Coach Royce Boehm and his son 2012 offensive lineman Evan Boehm along with defensive line coach Limbo Parks last night.
Boehm 6-4, 296, 5.0 maybe one of the more impressive high school offensive linemen I’ve seen from a physical standpoint. He and his father visited Oklahoma yesterday and he received an offer from the Sooners the same day.
Boehm, who also has offers from Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas, will get a personal tour of Arkansas’ campus at 1 o’clock today. He plans to participate in today’s camp and will leave afterward.
Parks, who played offensive guard for the Razorbacks from 1985-86, will be working at the camp all week.
**5:43 update****
Here’s the prospects I saw during the check in.
OL Marcus Danenhauer was on hand but will not be working out.
WR Davyon “Sleepy” McKinney was visiting with his mother. A decision could come at anytime. He looks the 6-3 he’s listed. His mother loved the tour and is very impressed with Arkansas.
2012 LB/RB James Sax of Vilonia
LB Brad Shearin of Jonesboro
DL Grady Ollison of Malvern
RB Wesleigh Foster of Clarksville
2012 OL Jemar Clark of McCrory
RB Cody Robinson of Des Arc
DL/TE Josh Hampton of Bryant
2012 OL Boone Feldt of Pilot Point, (Tx.) -Cam’s younger brother
DB/DB Artez Brown of Newport will arrive on Monday
LB Hunter Kissinger of Springdale Har-Ber will attend Tuesday’s session
DE/LB Devin Randall , 6-4, 238, 4.70 of Bartlesville, Okla. will attend all three days. He has an offer from Tulsa. Nice looking athlete
DL Dirk Tanner of Pulaski Academy
DB Darius Scott of Lonoke
Ath. Rodney Larry of Junction City
QB Brandon Allen of Fayetteville and his younger brother Austin were there. Austin is a 2013 QB prospect that has an offer from Tulsa. Austin said he stand at 6-1.
Coach Petrino will talk to the campers at 6.The first practice is at 6:30 and ru ns until 7:45.
On Monday, the first practice starts at 9:30 and goes until 11:10 am. The afternoon session will be from 2:20 to 3:45.
** 11:30 update****
Jemar Clark injured his left knee during the evening session. He will get it checked out tomorrow but preliminary report appears promising.
Davyon “Sleepy” McKinney said he will make his decision tomorrow morning.
DL Grady Ollison showed well against the top offensive lineman. The O-linemen were unable to get a push on Grady while he was able to penetrate the backfield at times.
OL Boone Feldt was one of the offensive line standouts. He’s much like Cam and doesn’t stop until the whistle blows.
OL Evan Boehm was another that showed the ability to get a push on the D-line.
QB Brandon Allen continues to excel on the long ball with pinpoint accuracy. That maybe his greatest asset.
Las Vegas WR Chris Smith arrived just in time to participate in the 7-on-7 games later in the evening. He’s really excited to be back in Arkansas. He really looks good physically.

Thanks Richard, Cant get enough football this time of year !
Thanks, Richard. I hope the young man and his dad enjoy their visit. How’s the weather up there?
Nice. Suppose to be in the upper 80′s.
Great! I can’t wait to find out who gets offered and who commits.
Richard,
I noticed in your Poll question you didn’t put Calvin Barnett on that list. Are we supposed to read between the lines?
Wow! Evan Boehm just completed his Soph. year and is already a physical specimen, to say the least.
I hope we get Brey Cook to commit to the Hogs. Sucsess breeds sucsess, so maybe a kid like Evan would follow suit in next years recruiting class.
Cook would be nice on this beautiful sunday afternoon.
Here’s a good read on todays Arkansas camp:

Also, I heard OU held it’s first summer elite football camp yesterday. Does anyone know if Brey Cook attended?
I’m getting anxious… I need updates!!
Brey was not at OU’s team camp yesterday.
Brey will be visiting after Har-Ber participates in Tulsa’s team camp.
Davyon McKinney will be making a commitment to the Hogs today!
Thanks for the the article Gonzo
Looks like it’s that dang washington St. again boys.
Come on Hogs!!
Vandy’s Ritchie Goodenow is pitching a 1 hit shutout over Louisville in the 8th right now. Vandy up 6-0. Looks like they may be getting that extra game on Monday.
Make that a 2 hit shutout right now. Louisville has just one more shot at it in the 9th. Going to bottom or 8th with Vandy up.
Richard, when will Brey show up?
MRPRFCT, Brey will show up Tuesday with Hunter Kissinger.
Allens lil bro already 6’1 and an offer from Tulsa!

That’s right.
big Boi, what does he play?
Andrew – he is a QB also, supposed to be even better than Brandon was at the same age
McKinney looks very good….like his height and speed. This is going to be a fantastic class for us. Really wish Brey Cook would commit this week.
Was Neal Burcham QB 2012 of Greenbrier there?
Richard,
The Scout article I posted earlier mentioned that Brey Cook and Davyon McKinney could be leaning toward commiting with the Hogs. Do you believe that’s true? I sure hope so.
The rumors I’ve heard had Cook as 50-50 on the UofA and OU, while McKinney was leaning slightly to Ole Miss. Anymore insight on that?
TouchdownArkansas,
I saw that kid play last season. Solid looking QB.
I love it when we’re looking 1 and even 2 years in advance with those class of 2012 and 2013 guys
Man, I’m getting old. I’ve got boys that graduate in both 2013 and ’14.
Great news!!

Thanks for the link MRPRFCT. I hope he commits sometime tonight. That would be great.
I found this link about Brey Cook on Scout. Pretty interesting link.
It sounds like OU is definately our top competition to land him.
http://arkansas.scout.com/2/973512.html
Also, I saw where OU has already landed 2 highly ranked 4 star RBs.
I hope that improves our chances of landing Malcolm Brown of Cibilo, Texas. It surely doesn’t hurt any.
Richard,
Once again thank you for the updates!!! From what you have heard, what does Calvin Barnett have to improve on his GPA or ACT score. Do you have an outside opinion on whether you think he will qualify or not. Thanks.
Military HOG Fan
Military HOG Fan,
I believe Barnett got his grade point up through summer classes, but his ACT score is still pending I think.
There was a post earlier in the week that said he was retaking the ACT on 6/12. I don’t know if that’s true but that is the next test date.
B Allen and that kid from Vegas look like they have some chemistry. are they both class of 2011? Next generation is building!!! We are fixin to win the ship! Allen already committed?
Richard, I know this is way down here and you probably wont read it, but how did Tyler Nero look?
lol I love the optimism Dalton
Boone Feldt is already 6’4″, 240 according to Rivals. Lets keep that pipeline to Texas going!
sorry 260 pounds
Thanks Gonzo!

I always love when these guys that are committed go ahead and work out and show what they got…. I feel Grady is a under-rated sleeper type. He will have a monster senior season, and be a great RAZORBACK one day!!! D-FENSE!! D-FENSE!!
