Wish we could get Artez looks like he wants to be a RB and CBP wants him at CB. Artez is prolly the best in the state at both positions.
he’ll go a lot further in life as a DB. i think we get him.
Is he better than foster
im just saying, Wesleigh Foster is a very good RB. It’s debatable on who’s the better RB is (Brown or Foster) the only thing I can say is Brown now has 5 offers as a RB and Foster is still waiting on his first. I hope the Hawgs offer Foster as a RB and get away from the “Big Back” and go for speed and moves.
brown does not have 5 offers as a RB.

According to who?
Counting them up top, he does
Counting them up top, he HAS 6! Not sure who is recruiting him as RB or CB!
Everyone but Arkansas has offered as a RB as far as I know.
so all others are offering as a RB?
You can bet some of those are offering as a running back but will move him to CB after they get him on campus.
this kid is going to be a college DB
Maybe he sees himself as the next Chris Johnson.
Razorback56, Have you seen Artez play or just highlight tape? Artez is very good at both spots. True he prolly does have more “Pro” potential as a CB but is very capable of being an SEC RB. I’ve seen Artez since his 9th grade year, and he might have been the best RB in NE Ark as a 9th grader. I hope he goes to the Ark camp and proves to CBP he should get a shot at RRB.
Would it be breaking any recruiting rules to put up a link to a high school kids scouting page. I live in so cal and I have been to a few football games at a high school and I have seen this kid who I think is an awesome running back but he isn’t getting recruited out here because he doesn’t have huge numbers, but that’s only because his team passes the ball 35 out of 50 plays.he only gets like 10 to 15 carries a game but he averages like 9 yds a carry. When he does get the ball. And he doesn’t have a lot of tds for the same reason, the games I went to the coach did some short pass usuallyin the red zone. And this kid is just a hard worker and always trying to improve he went to reciever camp so he could be a better receiving running back. And I’m a die hard hog fan, I don’t know what to look for a college running back, that’s y I would like to post his link. Any thoughts?
calihog, send it to Richard.
Richard: Great article in the Gazette today on recruiting.
calihog does he have a highlight video you could give us a link to?
Oh Peyton and everybody.. did you see the Hogs offered another nationally top ranked WR?
DaVaris Daniels out of Vernon Hills, IL. He is rated the #5 WR in the nation by Scout.com
He has a ton of offers, but we are the first SEC school to offer. So far at least.
I wonder if he sent over some video or how he showed interest. Petrino and McGee’s offense with Mallett, Wilson, Mitchell, Walker, Allen, and hopefully Frazier should all begin to really bring in top WR talent every year.
Blake: he does have a video and a scouting page. Ill try to post it.
i didnt see that blake, thanks for the heads up
I heard the Madden kid made quite a scene last night in front of Pelphrey and the Memphis coach. Sounded like he had one heck of a tantrom.
Hog in OKC where did you hear that?
Morning Rush on ESPN 96.3 here in the River Valley. Apparently he got mad and dumped a water cooler out on a brand new gym floor. It did a lot of damage to the floor.
Ok I looked into it and read a story about it just now.
It sounds like he got angry and kicked a water cooler over. I am not going to say that is ok, but someone posted on the article a good point.
How in the world does a water cooler, one water cooler, cause “serious” water damage.
In the story I read they said people were there all night trying to dry it up and to no avail because it rippled on them or something like that.
What?
What kind of floor did they put into this brand new basketball court?
I have been around enough gyms in my day to see much worse things than a cooler of water end up on the floor. I have seen people thrown from stands for crying out loud.
I still can’t get over this though, and I know the point is that he showed poor sportsmanship after a loss I know, but how in the world does a water cooler ruin a floor?
Blake, YMGTC saw the whole scene. He said it was ugly. He posted about in an earlier thread.
which thread?

Sounds like hog material.
blake: here is the video of the kid i was talking about, http://www.varsityscoutingreport.com/Report-Football~Running%20Back~378~1
like i said, i think this kid is a stud, and his average is 7.91 ypc. and hasnt been offered by anyone.
MRPRFCT,
I believe Madden’s team was playing against Hackett weren’t they? Do you know where the game was being played? Just curious, because I only live a few miles away from Hackett.
Gonzo, it was being played at Carlisle.
Yes, I was there and it was ugly. It wasn’t just the water cooler incident. He wouldn’t shake hands with Hackett’s players after the game and I felt like he was showing up his own teammates when they made mistakes during the game. He came off as a petulant child. Great player but has a lot of growing up to do.
Blake, my original post on this was in the thread about the Dollarway kid.
I wonder how much this effects his recruitment now? Suspect character and more selfish drama is the last thing our program needs right now.
I hate hearing that about him.
To everyone who is reading or posting on here I posted a video of a kid I have watched play a few times, wanted to know if you all thought I should send it to richard or something?
Sry, the video was like the 29th post.
If CBP was recruiting him he would prolly back off. CJP is recruiting Hunter Mickelson, KY Madden, Adonis Thomas and Johnny O’Bryant to save his job.(IMO) If he doesn’t get two of the four he will be let go in the middle of the 2012 season(If we get beat by Georgia he should be fired after the game!)
calihog,
I think Mowry looks really good in that video.
I like how he hits the lanes, and how is not just an elusive back but also displayed toughness breaking a lot of tackles. His vision and balance are very good with how he cuts into the lanes when he sees them.
You can tell that is a pass happy offense, and he appears to have really good hands from the footage in the video.
Whatever school is lucky enough to stumble upon him and make an offer will be getting a good one.
One quick question: What classification does he play in down there in CA?
Also do you know if he just has not gotten his highlights out to coaches yet? Or maybe if he has been unable to make it to camps and combines?
Those things could be reasons why he is an unknown right now. He looks the mold of one of those small dangerous Pac10 backs to me.
He might run a 4.45, but with pads on he looks no faster than 4.8… seems a little slow for such a small guy, he is VERY tough from the looks of his videos, but his speed is suspect…
Blake: he plays is the largest division in cali. He has went to camps I don’t know about combines.
Andreew I think his burst once he gets past the line look, fast he had some in his video that made it seem like someone would get him then to me it looked like he turned it on and went past them. I could be wrong and u might be right, I haven’t watched enough recruiting stuff to know the diffeence. Thanks for both of your comments.
In the video he does not appear to have the greatest break away speed, but he could have been nursing an injury. Because I did not some highlights where he had that burst and broke away, and then others where he was unable to break away.
But still I saw a tough kid who found lanes even when they were hard to get to on a regular basis.
Knowing that he plays in the largest California classification also tells me something. He is playing against big and fast competition. Somebody will give him a chance.
His GPA is really good too it looks like.
I see what you’re saying, I know he has interest from schools in the ac 10 just no offers I don’t know about any injureies but I do know he puts on weight in the fall for football and drops it in the spring for track, so it could be the weight, gain that is slowing him. Not sure though. I hope he does go somewhere because I really want to follow this kid, he just has that kind of personality. Prolly cause is parents are from the south and raised him right. Lol.
I hope he gets a chance somewhere as well.
How does he do in track?
