Here’s the list of recruits to be on tonight’s show.
6:05- RB/DB Artez Brown of Newport, has offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Baylor, Memphis and Southern Arkansas.
6:30- CB Bernard Thomas and RB Darrian Miller of Blue Springs, Mo., Arkansas is interested in both.
6:45- S Pat Martin and WR Hakeem Flowers of Greenville, S.C., both have several offers, including one from Arkansas.

Miller committed to KU, yesterday.
Yeah but with 11 months to go he could easily change that commitment.
i really like us getting our foot in the door in the carolinas..
Yeah I am excited about it too.
If you look at last year the Carolinas produced a large number of top rated players, and we are recruiting those schools now.
I don’t really care about the Carolinas.
MRP if Chris Smith turns out as good as many of us think he will then you may change that tune.
yeah we know you are a homer MR P, but Arkansas doesnt produce enough athletes for us to just recruit Arkansas.

MRPRFCT, I agree I could care less about the Carolinas, South Florida, Massachusetts and Arizona. We need to keep the fence around Arkansas get into the Dallas-Fort Worth area and North Lousisana and stay strong in Tulsa. Those area’s are more then enufe to get a top 15 class year in and out.(IMO)

I don’t know where you guys get your ideas, but there is no such thing as a fence around any state when it comes to recruiting!
i just hope we start recruiting canada more, i feel like we are missing a bunch of good prospects there.
Canada, I think we should be in Kenya, teach them to catch a FB, and who knows what might happen LOL, and if not there get in California and the SEC TV package might bring in better than you think,
I’m sure the Carolinas could careless about you too. Lol I care about any state that produces kids we recruit. You Arkansas homers should just cheer for the redwolves. They have plenty of home grown talent for you guys to support…………
Speaking of Byran Jones, wasn’t he a 4*? Rivals has him as a 3*. From what Tom Lemming is saying about him he should be a 5*. I’ll go with Lemming.

yeah its impossible to get all the arkansas recruits we want.
Peyton, Scout and ESPN have him as a 3*. I believe they had him as a 4* near NSD. Rivals still has him as a 4*.
I care about the Carolinas if we can get a Chris Smith caliber player out of there every year. Petrino is building a national program. He is going to recruit more than just Arkansas, Dallas/Metroplex area, and North Louisiana.
And to any recruits from the Carolinas that may be reading this blog, Hog fans do care about the Caarolinas.
Hope we can bring some of these players in. In Oct 2008 I emailed Tim Horton about recruiting in SW Missouri. I would venture to say the Razorback fan base is bigger here in Joplin than Missouri’s fan base. 3hrs. from Columbia, 1 1/2 hrs to Fayetteville. When my daughter, who is a soph. at UA graduated there were About 100 kids from this area who decided to go to Ark. That is and has been the norm for a long time. Need to really get a foothold, ala Tulsa, in this area. Springfield Parkview has 10th grader that I believe the Hogs and everyone else is looking at- Dorial Green.Looking far and wide is OK just don’t forget to look out your backdoor.
If you want to talk about long distance recruiting, we need to recruit Samoan (sp?) Islands. Talk about athletes!!!!

I don’t know about you guys but I would sign Pat Martin sight unseen just because he has Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” playing as the background music! More of these kids need to pay homage to the classic films of the 80′s that shaped my childhood. I am sure I am not the only one who could hear Clubber Lang giving his prediction…”Pain”…
Seriously though, thanks Rick for posting those videos. Both kids look to be the real deal and I don’t care if they call Mars home, if he wants to be a Hog come on in, the water is fine! Call me crazy but I guess I am just an Equal Opportunity Fan…
