DAUNTE CARR
S – FR – 6-2 –195 – Gainesville, Ga. (Gainesville HS)
Petrino’s Take: “He was committed to Stanford so we know he’s a very good student. He’s a very quality young man. He plays free safety, is big and physical and can really run down hill and tackle. He also played receiver and made a lot of big plays catching the football. He’s the guy who also has the ability to grow into an outside linebacker or fall into that nickel position. We really like his size and quickness and ability to tackle.”

I really like this kid.
Welcome to the “Hog Nation” Daunte. We’re glad to have you as a RAZORBACK!
This kid could add 20 to 25 lbs and be a Nasty safety.
An offer from Stanford is high praise for a young man and fits with Coach Petrino’s three cornerstones for recruiting. Assuming his character is as good as his grades and football skills this yound man will be an asset to the football team and the university.
Seems like an AWESOME young man!
I am very excited about him. From what they say he didn’t go to combines or camps, and if he had people would have been even more all over him than they already were.
WPS! Glad to have Carr as part of the Razorback family. He looks excited as well!
i agree blake..he looks amped to be a hawg.
Very much look forward to seeing what he can do.
Anyone else see that Petrino listed Darryl Smith’s height at 6’3? I had thought he was 6’1-6’2, gotta like that extra heighth/length. I think that Smith and Carr could develop into quite a FS/SS combo in the coming years
For some reason, this guy reminds me of Dhani Jones of the Bengals. I don’t know if you’ve ever watched Dhani on the Travel Channel (one of his off season jobs) but he is also very intelligent and physically gifted. Daunte Carr seems like he is of the same cloth.
