Did his dad say what he was thinking? Sounds kinda fishy. To be offering this late, unless BP is feed up with Auburn’s recruiting and trying to get all of their recruits. Or someone has fallen threw the cracks and we are trying to make up ground.
I hope he takes it. He has always tried to distance himself from Dyer.

Yes, they are good friends and yes they would like to play together in college. But you have never heard Mosely say negative stuff about Arkansas. I never heard Mosely say he was a package deal. Maybe he did and I missed it. I have noone real close. But I have heard from some folks in LR and I have heard him say he would like to be a Hog albiet it was early in the process.

A little late in the process don’t you think. This is going to sting even more tomorrow when Dyer and Mosley are wearing their Auburn gear signing their LOI’s and laughing at the attempt to sway them at 10:00 pm the night before NSD. Like Grant said “WTF??”. GO HOGS!!!!!!!
This unfortunately seems to come right around the same time Richard and others are down on the prospects of landing Coleman (who had Richard feeling good until this afternoon/evening). Could he be a lineman? I hope I am wrong on my speculation and Coleman signs with the Hogs! And I think it would be funny if Mosely came to Ark and left dyer at Aub.
Maybe it’s a last second run @ Dyer…who knows? This is definitely a head-scratcher.

Dyer and Mosley both said in the early recruiting that Arkansas was on the top of there list. Arkansas offered Dyer but no Mosley. On the Shawn and Wally show they both said they were a package deal. I have not heard Mosley talking bad about Arkansas. I know I heard that with my ears, but you are the first to say Mosley was trying to separate from Dyer(that I know of) Anybody else?

no national recruiting person has mentioned Arkansas as a legit contender to land Shon Coleman. In addition, Richard no longer feels good about it himself, which should be telling you something.

Wow?! Kinda outta left field. I’d think that if this was a ploy to get back in on Dyer, that we would’ve moved on this front a long time ago. I hate it for Mosley that this offer has come so late in the process, as I’m sure he grew up dreaming of playing for the Hogs. Hopefully the snide remarks made by many around the state haven’t soured him on the UofA. If CBP thinks enough of him to extend an offer, I’d love to have him.

Peyton, that’s the first comment I’ve ever made regarding Coleman and the hope stemmed from Richard’s good feelings on him. If you read my comment, I said this offer probably confirms further Richards now bad feeling towards the hogs prospects of signing Coleman. Yeah no nat’l svc has mentioned hogs/Coleman, but I will take Richards word over theirs….Richard is dedicated to the hogs only, thus he knows more about hogs recruits than svcs following thousands of kids. So tell someone who’s weighed in a lot more than me to give it up on Coleman.

Mosley and Dyer were both in NW Arkansas January 22 at the Farmington
Arkansas HS Basketball game. I thought that was kinds strange with
recruiting in full swing. I wondered than if they had been on the
hill, about 3-4 miles away. Dakota is from Farmington having gone to
school there through the 9th grade. He was a good Basketball player
as well. uummmmm! Could our silent committ be Dyer & Mosley? UMMMM.

Two 5 stars, a 4, and a few top level 3′s would certainly jump us up to at least 30.

i actually don’t care either way…let em go or welcome them in. i think it is immature to wait until the day of when there is so few spots and so many kids out there that would kill for the opportunity.

If CBP extended Mosley an offer, I highly doubt it was within the last hour. No way he would throw a last ditch effort out there. If he truly wanted these guys he would’ve started a long time ago. Only hope I have is that this is all some grand charade, and the two have been in the fold for some time.

I am “puzzled” to say the least. We need defensive help. So we are going to let DE Davidell Collins go to OSU, LB Greg White go to Missouri, DT Sean Watson go to Baylor, let LB Joe Carmichael go to Texas Tech, we let Anterio Sloan not get an offer but offer Mosley? Interesting.

Only see 4 ways to look at this …
1. scholarship became available for mosley as higher rated recruits said no here at the end (to which people will question why we waited so long)
2. we are making a legitimate last minute play for dyer (again, why now?)
3. this has all been worked out behind the scenes by ark to make a big signing day splash and rub it in auburn’s face
4. these 2 kids are playing the coaching staff to elicit a last-minute public offer so that they can say no publicly tomorrow and rub in our faces.

This recruiting season has more storylines than Monday Night Raw. We can’t say it has been boring. That being said, it wouldn’t be cool to lead a team on like that and then flip at the last minute, even if they are doing it to Auburn. If they do flip it will all have been worked out for a while now. If dyer does end up at AR then Aubie is double hosed cause that Lattimore kid is goin’ to USC.
Auburn’s battle cry, which is AKA gay.

War Eagle has something to do with the legend of an eagle that crash landed on the field and spurred their team to victory. That’s why their eagle (I think its name is Nova) dips suddenly down the field when they unleash him during home games. I might be butchering this a bit, but I think I got the main idea. To your point, I also wonder why they don’t just change their mascot to an eagle if they love it so damn much. This legend also does not explain why many Auburn fans wear those ridiculous orange jeans in public.

The story you referenced is one of the popular threads of a myth surrounding the war eagle tradition. All of them seem to have the bird dying in the end, usually after a great comeback victory over Georgia. I don’t think anyone knows for sure but the Wisconsin bird did exist.

I would rather beat Auburn in football than ALA or LSU. There is just a smugness about them.I despise them getting some of our top recruits each year–I’d rather they go to USC than Auburn. I haven’t been to a ARK football game in years and drove up to see ARK wallop Auburn this past year–it was heaven!!!
