Hogs hope Kansas DE could fill need

Arkansas is looking for an athletic defensive end that can help stuff the run and come off the edge to pressure the quarterback. The Razorbacks hope they’ve found their guy in Scott Smith of Butler Community College in Kansas.

Many have speculated on defensive end Dimitri Orr’s oral commitment to Arkansas. He pledged for the Hogs during the summer without seeing the campus and has since talked about making some official visits to other schools.

‘Big Tex’ still a Razorback despite Michigan visit

Arkansas fans voiced concern when Dallas Maceo Smith athlete Jatashun ‘Big Tex’ Beachum made an official visit to Michigan over the weekend for the Wolverines game against Ohio State. But the Arkansas commitment said Hog fans have nothing to worry about.

Arkansas commitment gets nose guard experience

Arkansas commitment and offensive lineman Cam Feldt of Pilot Point, Texas, was able to enjoy about 15 to 20 snaps at nose guard in last week’s 28-14 win over Gunter and helped his team advance to the Class 2A Region 2 quarterfinals.

Tallahassee athlete Brandon Denmark received a call from Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino while Arkansas was busing down to Little Rock the Thursday evening before the Mississippi State game.
