Defensive lineman Tremondae Branch made his way to Fayetteville for Arkansas’ senior camp and is planning to make a return trip for the Eastern Michigan game this weekend.
Branch, 6-1, 277, 5.0, of Flint (Mich.) Carman-Ainsworth is familiar with the Arkansas coaching staff.
“I really do like Arkansas,” said Branch, who recorded 72 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 7 sacks last season. “I feel a good connection there especially coach Johnson. I’ve known those guys since I was a eighth grader and went to the Louisville campus.
When you have a relationship for that long and you get the opportunity to be a part of something they’re building, it’s hard to say no.”
Branch, who said Michigan State, Notre Dame, Bowling Green, Central Michigan and others showing interest and wanting to see his highlight film, reports a 325-pound bench press and 560 squat along with a time of 4.55 seconds in the pro-shuttle.
