While most prospects were surprised by Arkansas’ strong showing against Florida last week, defensive end David Perry wasn’t one of them.
“I kind of expected it,” Perry said. “I think they were extra excited about that game. They looked good and played hard.”

Perry, 6-6, 235, 4.65 of  Ft. Lauderdale, (Fla.) University has over 40 scholarship offers but has reduced his list to about 20 schools, including Arkansas. He recorded 34 tackles, 5 sacks and 1 forced fumble in his first ever year to play football last season.

Perry has yet to decide on visiting Arkansas but he said graduate assistant Chip Long is working hard to make it happen.

“They’ve been showing a lot of interest lately,” Perry said. “They call me to make sure I’m interested and they’re trying to get me on a visit. They call every week.”
