Jacksonville freshman 6-foot- 2-inch point guard Jessica Jackson received her second scholarship in as many weeks when Arkansas extended an offer.
“She went up and visited the campus on the 16th,” Mimms said. ”She watched them practice and Coach Tom Collen pulled her and her dad into his office and put an offer on the table and wanted her to be a Lady Razorback. He said he’s never offered a ninth grader.”
Mimms said Jackson was very excited about her time in Fayetteville.
“She said the visit was real nice and she liked it.” Mimms said.
Mimms, who said Arkansas was impressed with Jackson’s maturity during the visit, is getting inquires from other schools as well.
“The South Carolina coach called last week and we talked a couple of times and she’s emailed me a couple of times,” Mimms said. “Alabama has sent some questioners to fill out. She got something from Oregon yesterday (Tuesday).”
