Continuing from Friday’s Recruiting column, here are more comments from Florida defensive end Max Beaulieu, who has an offer from Arkansas.
Beaulieu, 6-3, 235, 4.8 of University School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has 14 offers, including Arkansas.
“I’m looking for a coach that’s a great coach and I feel comfortable with him,” Beaulieu said. “I want to feel comfortable with the area and the school. Other factors would be distance from home. To tell you the truth, I’m one of the players that would like to play early.”
He said the West coast wouldn’t be attractive to him due to distance but the East coast to the Midwest would be fine. He has no preference on a particular conference.
The Hogs are recruiting Beaulieu as a defensive end while other schools at pursuing him for other positions.
“Most schools are saying they’re going to put me inside and pack on the weight,” he said. “Some schools are saying defensive end and they’re a couple of schools that are saying they might try me at linebacker.”
