McFadden legacy intrigues Oklahoma player

Running back Darryl Fields knows of one school where he plans to make an official visit in the fall.
“I plan to take one to Colorado,” Fields said. “For the other four I’ll look and see what teams I’m interested in. I’m going to try and take them during the season.”
Fields, 6-2 1/2, 195, 4.48 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Madill, Okla., has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and others.
He rushed 147 times for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games last year. Fields also participates in basketball team and runs track. He’s set school records of 49.4 seconds in the 400 meters and 21.87 in the 200 meters. .
Fields, who said he plans to wait until after his season to make a decision, said the Hogs have a good chance to get an official visit..
“Arkansas is one of the big schools I’m interested in,” he said. “Darren McFadden is one of my favorite running backs. I like the way the run their offense.”
Fields said several members of his mother’s family used to live in Fayetteville.
