Here’s more from Madden.
Madden, whose cousin is former Razorback football and basketball player Marcus Monk, said Monk’s departure from the basketball team after playing in 8 games and the controversy following his leaving won’t deter him from considering Arkansas.
“I really don’t know what happened or what went on with them,” Madden said. “That doesn’t have an effect if I go or don’t go to Arkansas.”
More from Mickelson.
The fact that the Arkansas coaches have seen him play numerous times has impressed Mickelson.
“That’s pretty awesome,” said Mickelson, who’s 7 points shy of scoring 1,000 in his career. “I like to know that they’re pretty interested. The fact they come so often it really helps a lot.”
More from Ross.
Forward Aaron Ross of Little Rock Parkview said Arkansas’ subpar record this past season didn’t concern him.
“It didn’t bother me,” Ross said.. “They just had a bad year. Everybody has a bad year in college ball.”
