One prospect, linebacker/safety Kolby Hogan is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a Razorback. His father, Floyd lettered at Arkansas from 1973-74 as a safety and was drafted in the 9th round by the Cleveland Brown in 1975.
Hogan, 6-2, 215, 4.70 of Big Sandy, (Tx.) Harmony will be attending Arkansas’ senior camp on July 19.
“I want to do my best and make a good impression on the coaches,” Floyd said.
Floyd, who is receiving interest from Arkansas, Baylor, TCU, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, La-Monroe and North Texas, recorded 156 tackles, 4 recovered fumbles, 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown and scored a touchdown as a running back on offense last year. He and his father traveled to Fayetteville last season to attend the Alabama game.
“It would be pretty awesome for me to be able to play there because my dad went there,” said Floyd, who reports a 300-pound bench press and 450 squat. “They’re a good school and he’s told me a lot about them. It would be awesome to follow my dad’s footsteps and go there”.
