If versatility is what college coaches are looking for, then Davidell Collins is one that would fit that description.
Collins, 6-6, 242, 5.0 of Bearden lined up at offensive tackle, defensive end and tight end at the Arkansas camp earlier this week and more than held his own.
“I think I improved a lot,” Collins said. “I had a chance to go up against people that were better than me. It gave me a chance to see where I am as a player. I feel good about myself. I improved my stances and my take off. I have more knowledge of the game.”
While lining up at defensive end, Collins was matched up with Arkansas commitment offensive tackle Cam Feldt and performed very well.
“It gave me a boost of confidence but it doesn’t mean I’m the best but it means I can compete on the next level.” said Collins, who received an offer from Arkansas State on Sunday. “I made me feel good knowing all my hard work is paying off.”
