Arkansas football signee Terrell Williams of Tulsa Union plans to report to Fayetteville on May, 30. He like all the other incoming freshmen received a work out booklet from strength and conditioning Coach Jason Veltkamp after inking with the Hogs.
“When I got it I was playing basketball so was doing my basketball thing,” Williams said. “After the season I got on the book and been at it hard. I’m seeing the results and everyone else id seeing it too. I’m making sure I stretch; I’m getting faster, stronger and more flexible.”
Williams said the workout plan is much like what he has done in the past.
“We have a new strength and conditioning coach last year and he brought a lot of college stuff he got us ready for a lot of the things that are in the book,” he said. “We just didn’t do as many reps as the book calls for. Pretty much everything else is the same.”
Williams said he’s weighing 220-pounds, up from 215.
Arkansas quarterback coach Garrick McGee was the lead recruiter of Williams.
“I’ve been talking to Coach McGee,” Williams said. “They’re excited about the freshmen coming in and start working. I talk to him regularly.”
Williams said he also stays in touch with his future roommates, receiver Cobi Hamilton and running back Ronnie Wingo.
It appears that Williams will be a linebacker/ rover type once he arrives on campus.
“I know I’m going to play defense but I’m really not sure where yet.” Williams said.
