Receiver Cobi Hamilton, 6-3, 200, 4.52 of Texarkana, (Tx.) signed on the dotted line Wednesday to become an Arkansas Razorback.
He and his teammate, defensive end Jacoby Thomas, who signed with Kansas during a ceremony at school, both received plenty of attention from the local media around Texarkana.
“It was fun getting recognized for all the hard work we’ve done.” Hamilton said. “It was a fun day.”
After Hamilton signed with the Hogs, he spoke to assistant coaches Garrick McGee, Kirk Botkin,
Tim Horton, Bobby Allen and head coach Bobby Petrino.
“They were yelling and screaming,” he said. “They said when they got the fax, they were going crazy. “
Hamilton said he’ll be working out hard before he reports to Fayetteville and is determined to be an impact player at Arkansas next fall. He does have a lofty goal of being an early entry to the NFL.
“I want to go three and out if there’s any way possible.” Hamilton said.
