Visit a good one for QB commitment

Quarterback Brandon Mitchell (6-3, 215, 4.5) Amite, La., was pleasantly surprised by what he saw last weekend while on his official visit to Fayetteville.

“It was better than I expected,” said Mitchell, who orally committed to the Razorbacks on Wednesday. “I liked the facilities, the players and the coaches. I liked the weight room and the indoor workout facility.”

Mitchell said he spent time with other recruits including defensive lineman DeQuinta ‘DD’ Jones and Helena-West Helena cornerback Darius Winston.

“We bonded real well,” Mitchell said. “We went out a lot together and hung out

Arkansas receiver London Crawford was Mitchell’s recruiting host for the weekend.

“He was calling me his little brother because we hung out so much,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell said he plans to major in engineering and while working on a minor in music. He said he plays the guitar and drums and likes to play and listen to gospel and rhythm and blues.
