Arkansas commitment David Gordon may not be the only Gordon that could step on the field next fall. His uncle, Paul Gordon Jr. has enrolled at Arkansas and plans to walk-on and play football for the Hogs.
Paul Gordon Jr. graduated from Fort Smith Northside in 2007 and enrolled at Missouri Southern but didn’t play football.
“He wanted to be Razorback back in the day,” said Kris Gordon, the father of David and older brother of Paul. “He wants to middle linebacker and he’s going to walk-on.”
Paul Gordon, Jr. 6-1, 240, 4.65 will be a sophomore in eligibility.
“The funny thing about is that David will have an uncle that will be playing on the same team,” Kris Gordon said. “Even funnier is that being his brother I’ll be watching them both play and David having to call Paul his uncle.”
Kris Gordon said his brother is fulfilling his intense desire to be a Razorback.
I’m happy for Paul because he’s happy about playing for the Hogs,” Gordon said. “He’s another one out of the Fort Smith area that had the dream of playing for the University of Arkansas and he’s getting that chance.”
