Hoop Hogs get commitment

Center Anthony Borden, 7-0, 230 of West Memphis has orally committed to the Razorbacks. Borden played summer basketball for the Bill Ingram and the Arkansas Hawks. He becomes the third commitment for the 2009 class.

Austin Tate has surgery

Austin Tate of Harrison had an appendectomy on Thursday and will miss the remainder of the season. in eight games, Tate, 6-6, 225, 4.7  recorded 35 receptions for 470 yards and 8 touchdowns. Two of the nearly 40 prospects attending the Ole Miss game last Saturday were twins Matt and Luke Joeckel of Arlington, Texas. Both are considered two of the better 2010 prospects in the state.

Winston playing in All American Bowl

Helena-West Helena cornerback Darius Winston was recently presented with his U.S. Army All American Bowl game jersey. The game will be played Jan. 3 in San Antonio and will be televised on NBC.
