The national recognition for Little Rock Christian junior running back Michael Dyer is just starting and probably won’t stop anytime soon. New Era Scouting lists Dyer as the third-rated prospect in the Class of 2010.
Dyer, 5-10, 190, 4.37, was a member of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Team after rushing 279 times for 2,710 yards and 28 touchdowns. He was also named the Sophomore Offensive Player of the Year by the Democrat-Gazette.
Dyer’s 2,710 yards rushing last year was a state record for a sophomore and the seventh-highest single-season total in Arkansas high school history.
Flynn Hill of New Era Scouting is high on the talented Little Rock junior.
“He’s one of the best running backs I’ve seen on film,” Hill said. “With Michael, you have a guy that can run between the tackles and outside the tackles. I like his vision, balance and desire. You can’t each his desire. His legs are always moving and he’s always trying to get he extra yard or two.”
